Well I decided to finally contribute to the community by making a creation of my own. My first attempt is a Hi-res screenpack for the upcoming Melty Blood game. You heard right, the game hasn't been released yet, but because of the lack of Melty Blood themed screenpacks out there I thought I'd give it a shot and try to mimic it the best I can.

This will be the intro video for the screenpack. This is the official one that's going to be in the game. Really big thanks to NxL and his sister for making this and allowing me to include this.

Here is the original video and basically what you'll see in the intro itself. The music will also be included in the intro.

Still not finished as I'm trying to look for better fonts to use for the menu, but this may end up being the final version of the menu screen that I have in mind. I just hope I can find the Actress Again logo to make it look more genuine.

Select Screen (Updated 8/9):

EDIT: Because of some people who don't really like to make custom portraits when it comes to the select screen, I've decided to make a separate system file which uses the normal big and small portraits, thus having more slots as well. I might make a higher capacity select screen in the near future.

A week or so ago, there was some new pictures for Actress Again with the character select screen so I based it off the picture and tried to mimic it the best I can.

As you can tell this screenpack uses custom small and big portraits, but I might do a version of this screenpack with more slots if the need arises.

As for the animations used for the background, there is scrolling text which mimics the words that scrolls across the screen on the original game. There are also chains going across the screen for a more authentic feel I suppose and a time limit counter. Not really finished with this yet since I still have to make the icons for the team battles, changing the fonts and other changes.

Versus Screen (Updated 7/1):



Still imcomplete, but was able to add chains and a pic of Arcueid in the background to make it more pleasing to the eyes. The chains are animated by the way. Still need to add the glowing Actress Again words on it.

Lifebars (Updated 8/10):

Update Note: Added sprites for the Round 1, 2, 3, etc. and sounds from the Act Cadenza announcer.



Simul Lifebars:


Here's my attempt at trying to mimic the lifebars for actress again. Just like the rest of the Melty Blood lifebars out there this also uses custom portraits. Right now it's still really incomplete as I need to make simul lifebars for them, changing the fonts, and among other things. The blue gauge which acts as the guard meter in Actress Again is now the power bar, but I'm still deciding whether or not to change that into the player 3/4 lifebar and make my own magic circuit bar on the bottom.

Still need to do:
1. Make Simul lifebar Done
2. Semi-Transparent background for life and power bars. Done
3. Change/create fonts for lifebars and select screen.
4. Add the semi-transparent circle thing around timer. Done
5. Edit Turns lifebar.
6. Make a versus screen for Personal and Normal version.
7. Option screen Done
8. Logo
9. Menu Screen (incomplete)
10. Team menu and values Done

Optional:
1. Animated life/power bar Power bar is now animated
2. Intro video Complete
3. Game over screen Complete
4. Credits Complete

Still far from complete, but just showing you what I have finished so far. If you want to help or contribute to my project then feel free to ask via posting here or through PM. I think I'll need all the help I can get if I want to get this done. ^^;

I understand you're trying to be as accurate as possible but is this guard gauge really necessary? Its not like we will ever use it for real in regular mugen. Good work!

Thanks and yeah the guard gauge is nothing more than a cosmetic effect than anything else, so yeah it's not really necessary.

Are you talking about how the custom version has very little slots? Lol, yeah that's why I made the normal version as well for those who feel too bothered to take the time to make custom portraits. I'm also planning on adding more slots on the custom version so what you see right now isn't the final number of available slots.

after looking at that intro, and remember the size of the previous meltyblood intro that was converted for mugen.

estimately HOW BIG is this screenpack gonna be in terms of File Size?
