Not triggering on Hyper Attacks

For some reason this triggers on hyper projectiles but not hyper attacks. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong. I even tried taking out the HP and HT but it still didn't work. HA attacks simply don't connect now instead.
Haven't tried a hyper throw yet

[State 0, HitOverride]
type = HitOverride
triggerall = IsHelper(3501) || IsHelper(3502)
trigger1 = 1
attr = SCA,HA,HP,HT
slot = 0
stateno = 3520
time = -1
forceair = 0
ignorehitpause = 1
persistent = 1

Update!

OKAY I know what's going on. It's for attacks that have P2StateNo = xxx in the hitdef.

How do I resolve this to work on moves that put P2 in a different stateno?

Cyanide

p2stateno is not compatible with hitoverride. You need to use targetstate instead. And it'll STILL not work against hitoverride, but your hit will at least make contact with p2.

targetstate
trigger1 = movehit
trigger1 = numtarget
trigger1 = target, !ishelper
value = custom state

Other tweaking will be needed. Mostly people stopped using those because of the incompatibility with hitoverride. If something ought to custom state and can't, the least you can do is deal the damage you should even if the rest of it doesn't work (note, throws should still be priority = 4,miss)

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

I wish there were more ways to detect when a hyper hits. Basically I want it so that when a hyper hits a clone it goes into a splatter anim then destroyself. Preventing it from going into the custom state is part of the point. It looks like this method I'd have to add what stateno p2 is in as well to know it's a hyper so it won't work well in universal MUGEN.

I guess that's to be expected of clones though but it still stinks.
