Pause between animations

Those who have played Shin Gouki by Pots will know what I mean. When Shin Gouki performs is Misogi attack, he dematerialises from his current position (leaving an afterimage helper), then instantly reappears above the oponent for the start of the attack. This is done using a changeanim and a posadd.

I want there to be a pause between Gouki disappearing and reappearing. In other words, I want him to disappear leaving only the afterimage, then reappear a few seconds later for the attack. I tried delaying the first frame of the second animation so he's frozen in midair for the start, but on superjump stages the camera just follows him upward so I can't see the afterimage. So in order for it to work, i need a function which effectively removes the character from the stage for a short time during an animation change.

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do this. Anyone have any ideas?

The simplest method would be putting a non existent sprite into the animation and delaying everything after that in the cns by one animelem.

-1,-1, 0,0, time you need

will give you an invisible sprite.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

OK, it worked, but the move was nowhere near as strong as it used to be for some reason. Maybe somwething to do with the collision boxes.

Anyway, decided that it's probs best to leave it alone. Besides, as it is your opponent doesn't have time to block it so I'd be hindering myself if i put a giveaway pause in there.

Thanks anyway dude :sugoi:
