Hello, everyone. I'm moderately new to creating characters in MUGEN and have hit a bit of a snag programming an attack. The idea is to have the character pause in the air, then quickly drop straight down until hitting the ground, damaging the opponent.

Now, I can get him to fall straight down, and I can get the hit working, too. But how on earth do I pause him in the air? Is there a way at all?

Thanks in advance.

Use the "POSFREEZE", if you want only your character to stay still, use "PAUSE" if you want both characters to stay still.

If you don't know what they do or how to use them

It's in alphabetical order

Okay, wow, I figured this'd be a whole lot simpler than this.

I looked at the sctrl doc for posfreeze, and set up this code.

[Statedef 610]
type    = A
movetype= A
physics = A
juggle  = 4
poweradd= 65
ctrl = 0
anim = 610

[State 610, 1]
type = PosFreeze
trigger1 = time = 0
value = 1

I figured that'd do it, but for whatever reason it just won't work. I press the button and he goes through the animation but he simply will not freeze in the air. Can anyone explain this to me, please? Thanks again.

Bastard Mami

he is only freezing one tick, you want to use other trigger so eh will freeze longer like time =[0,50]

Oh wow, I can't believe it was as easy as that. Alright, thanks for the help! Finally got it working.
