Hey, I hope I am posting in the right section here, I figured this would be the place to post my concern here... Nightwolf, whenever I use Nightwolf as soon as he appears on screen, there is a separate image of Nightwolf floating in the background-- it just sort of stands there in mid air facing the screen.... I would offer a screen shot but I'm pretty green at this mugen stuff right now and I don't know how to post a screen shot of it... Mugenload told me it was probably something with the exploder code or something like that (not sure what the exploder code is though)...

Basically what I am asking is, is there a way I can get rid of the extra image of Nightwolf floating in the background?

Girku

It is never easy to explain things to people who have no coding knowledge whatsoever..some one please link him to the docs..

Are there some docs people can link me to that will tell me how to edit this?

Cyanide

Here's a quickish method.

Press ctrl+C while playing as nightwolf. Tell us if the floating nightwolf has a green line with a white dot beneath it. If it does, you may be lucky and it will also have a name or number attached.

To take a screenshot press F12 in mugen. Use something like imageshack to upload the picture.

This won't remove it but it'll help us help you. Also, the docs would be for a specific question like "how do i code an effect to appear" they don't help if you don't have any idea at all what you're looking for.

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

The floating Nightwolf didn't, but the active Nightwolf did have the line with the green dot... I don't have image shack yet (I'll have to look that one up)...

The active Nightwolf and his opponent both had the green line with the dot in the middle, beneath both of them... They appeared to have little green boxes around them also. Of coarse nothing is wrong with the opponent char, it only does this with Nightwolf.

I did hit F12, but it didn't appear to do anything... If it did take a pic, I don't know where to find it on my computer.

The screenshot is in your mugen folder, maybe in pcx format.
Same thing happened to me one time, the char was patched for an special lifebars.

IT looks as if that sprite is being used as the small portrait  :S ....is the same picture being used in the select screen for Nightwolf?..just a thought

Cyanide

Is it always the same animation? Or always that sprite? Get fighter factory. Scroll through the AIR file until you find that sprite. It may be in a couple of places. Note down the Begin Action number.

Search the .cns file for that number. When it shows up under or nearly under the line

Type = Explod

Replace Explod with Null. You may have to search more than one .cns. They may also be .st files.

Is the begin action number the number of the sprite in his sprite collection on FF?

     If so then it's 1/468...

I already have FF, I am learning to use it.... But how do I search AIR files in FF?

Cyanide

You won't be able to do it like that. You'll have to scroll through his anim's and check.

I'm just starting out with FF, I'm not very good with computers yet but I'm trying to learn... How do I get to his anim's? Is there a tutorial I can look at?
