Hello,
I'm working on a private game right now.
It's the firts time I try making characters.
I have some problems more related to graphics and image tools than Mugen, so I think it better fit this section.
First problem.
I'm using GIMP to make sprites.
By default GIMP make images as RVB ones. Then you could make them indexed images and reduced the numbers of colors.
My problem is that I don't know how to apply the same palette to an image. Yes, seems simple!
I have made a spritesheet with all my sprites, then convert it as 256 colors.
When I copy/past any sprite from this spritesheet to a new image, I lost my palettes.
Even if i save the spritesheet palette when I apply it to the new image all colors are messed up.
So, when I use those sprite in Mugen I have palette mess on each sprite.
Does anyone work with Gimp and could help me on this ?

Second point is that I want to do a logo with the same graphics as 'Street Fighter 2' one but with others words.
And I'm can't make a valid draw (well, don't ask me to show one of my picture, my children daw better).
The title of this game is "Erbalunga Fighters 2016" (well 2016 is a reference to KOF, obvious, and the rest to street fighter). I'm working in 180*720.
If someone could make this logo for me, I would really help me.
If anyone could help mefor those points, thanks a lot.
Regards,

PS : For those who want to know, Erbalunga is a small village in Corsica where my family go on hollidays.
I take pictures of this place and use them as background, and use family pictures as sprites, that for the story, and why this game will be private :)

I don't use GIMP to create/apply palletes for MUGEN, what I do is the following:

1. Change the image to indexed mode.
2. Arrange the color map, and define the transparent color.
3. Save the indexed picture as pcx or bmp.
4. Crop all the sprites from your sheet and save them all as pcx or bmp.
5. Use the pallete editor from any of the versions of Fighter factory, open the indexed spritesheet.
6. Then load your cuted/cropped images and then apply the pallete of the sheet in all the sprites, Fighter Factory let you save the new indexed images.

I always do that batch process, and the sprites looks good on mugen, and is really fast. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the help,
Seems related to PNG format, don't know why.
It becames simplier when I used pcx files.
Now I've managed to have my sprites with the same palette.
Point of advice for other people: when using indexed mode with Gimp, it's better to use dithering. Really.
Now I can continue on this project.
If someone know how to do the logo it would be cool, nor else I'll try by myself later.
Thanks for the help Madkat, it was usefull.
