I have no clue who they're parodying, not following apparently famous Sonic fanbase members, so it just seems a regular Misery spoof with jabs at the fetish stuff and Boom redesigns to me.

if you're familiar with the existence of Sonichu, then you'll know exactly who they're parodying

Considering that "guy" in the show -wanted- to color Sonic's arms blue and the fact he had glasses, I got more of a SammyClassicSonicFan vibe, but sure.

Speaking of which

edit: I dun like having multiple videos I posted on the same page. Do these spoilers even help people loading the page?

I don't mean to be controversial or anything, but what is it about autism that seems to connect to Sonic and its fanbase? Along with some infamous people mentioned here, the fanbase is just too weird to even describe in words.

Stefan Karl Stefansson, the dude behind Robbie Rotten, was so happy that the internet likes his character that he re-did a part of "We are number 1" (with the original cast)while being sick as fuck(suffering from pancreatic cancer)

H-he's my number 1
Edit:Apparently the tumor got removed and he is on chemo now
I hope the dude gets better

Robbie Rotten is awesome.

Anyway, saw this today and I am still smiling.

Has anyone ever got unexpectedly sad by a scene in a movie that seemed unlikely to have one? I was watching Rob Zombie's Halloween movies the other day (yeah I do like them quite a bit), and I forgot about this scene in the sequel where

the daughter gets killed and the father goes to his house then finds his daughter brutally murdered, it really hit me hard watching it again in a slasher movie of all things.

Bastard Mami

well I was watching not madoka 2016 and in the same episode/fights where one of the  girls get her heart ripped off what made me sad instead was when the magical girl that looks like a doggie got her arm hurt :( .

I don't really get sad about things I see in fiction, it's hard for me to really, I just can't connect with anything anymore but the tutorial mission for Hitman Blood Money depressed the fuck out of me, and yeah it's a game not a movie but it's the only thing where I can relate to that.

Here's the cutscenes of the mission for a quick rundown since I can't do a good job of summarizing it and I guess it makes me feel like shit still, a lot of it comes from the sympathy I find with the target and how pathetic he is, and seeing a man in such a bad state of desperation already upsets me. I wasn't expecting this reaction from me considering the shit I play (Hotline Miami, POSTAL II) and how emotional things in games don't get to me, even if it tries to guilt me into feeling bad, but this thing in Blood Money actually made me feel upset and I've lost all desire to play that game.

Hey @Jango:

I just remembered this card existed:

Is it an accurate depiction of Hastur? I'm curious cause I know nothing about Lovecraft, despite the fact that I would probably love it, so in addition to that what would you recommend starting with, since I'm gonna have some free time over the Christmas break.

Jango

It's kinda hard to depict Hastur because the character was never officially illustrated when the authors were alive! It's a pretty straightforward design though, a vaguely humanoid creature wearing yellow robes (spoiler: those are actually his skin) and a mask that conceals a face consisting of a mass of (among other things) tentacles and teeth. I think what actually is kinda striking is the card effects. Granted, killing Hastur is a ridiculous notion, but the effects that happen are a little reminiscent of exposure to "The King in Yellow" (it's a play/story that is so maddening, anyone who watches or hears it goes violently insane), so I like how they tweaked that to fit.

To be fair though, there are a LOT of things about Hastur that are kinda nebulous due to how many authors have had a hand in developing him. He was created in 1893 by Ambrose Bierce (Lovecraft was 3 years old at the time), expanded on by Robert W. Chambers in 1895 (whose writings introduced Lovecraft to Hastur), and then Lovecraft finally namedropped him in 1927's "The Whisperer In Darkness." Then August Derleth added a whole bunch of stupid shit to Hastur (like Cthulhu being his half-brother) and similar authors under Derleth's influence added other stupid shit (ie: Hastur marrying Cthulhu's niece). The CoC Tabletop RPG manages to have a few scenarios with Hastur that take some liberties but are really, really good from a story perspective (ie: "Tatterdemalion" which is about a Broadway playwright trying to adapt The King In Yellow, and "Herald of The Yellow King," which is set in the Dark Ages and is about Hastur aiding a bard in his revenge).

tl;dr there are some general guidelines, but he's pretty open to interpretation at the whim of whoever's writing him.

Y'know, it never ceases to surprise me how many sources Yugioh pulls from to make unique and interesting cards.

Who doesn't want to see Solid Raiden fighting abstract horror?

I like how that, in addition to all the gradius and other konami shump cards, they made all the goemon characters and then they're this:

(yugioh introduced me to nanobreaker's existence, actually)

and let's not forget the cards based on artherian lore, lovecraft, Demonology, Dante's inferno, a starwars/wizard of oz mash-up and other works I can't recall now.

So eh... I didn't feel like bumping the 30-day past Xenoverse 2 thread, especially not to hawk my new (almost) full OST mod. It changes all of the Hub themes as well as the main battle themes up to and including the final boss. yaaay...
Took me over a month to make. If I could do it all over again.. I wouldn't. But i'm mostly glad with how it turned out.
