Sometimes i want to sleep and wake up 7yo again, the world used to be so much better back then, and wasn't that long ago.

Yeah, i've already thought about that, when you're a kid its all colors, but when you start to grow up you see how fucked things are, i guess its true when they say that only ignorant people are allowed to be happy, because they have no ideia about what's going on.

But to give you an exemple, where i lived when i was a kid, i used to play with the other kids at night in the streets while our parents chatted and keep an eye on us, the night there was full of life and fun, but not to long ago i've visited this place again because i still have family there and its looks like there is no one living there, kids doesn't enjoy childhood anymore nowadays, they just stay at home on internet learning and seeing things they should not, also, due to social medias, almost everyone i know turned into a narcisists attention seeker, last time i was reunited with family everybody was with their phones at hand barely talking to each other and people sending messages to another who was sit right at their side!

In a summary, internet ruined childhood and social interaction.

Correction : they don't enjoy the things you enjoyed back then. I'm sure they enjoy themselves in a new way that you didn't know back then, thank you very much. You have no justification to claim that your way was better than their way. Social interactions didn't disappear, they just changed, and you didn't keep up.

And i didn't said internet ruined everything, i said internet ruined social interaction, basically a necessary evil imo.

Seems to me more like you are miserable yourself now compared to your childhood, but instead of just accepting that, you shift the blame on others and things in the society changing. To you it's impossible for the new values to be acceptable, so you chalk it up to everyone going along with it as ignorant.

But of course you still enjoy the internet, but in such a cynical and detached way that you can also keep calling out the kids of today as shitty for it.

I would have loved reading that over Lord of the Flies, To Kill a Mocking Bird and other things (I can't recall) I had to read in high school. It would have been far more interesting, albeit longer and I might have actually given a fuck.

A divorce, my initial upbringing as an orphan, and a mean car crash ruined my childhood. Social interaction made me a bit more well-rounded (I guess).
