Cima would never accept another Gas attack and the Axis forces are based on Zabi Hero worship. Doesn't leave her with a lot of options.

There are also the numerous video games that mash the OYW and Zeta pretty close together which usually results in Ridden, Matsunaga and Cima joining up with the AEUG for similar reasons.

I'm not questioning that she would leave the Titans the second she learns that they are planning on using/have used chemical weapons, but that doesn't necessarily mean she would want to join up with AEUG, nor that they would even want her. I'm not saying such a scenario would be completely out of the question, but it would really depend on the writing. Don't want to have a Reccoa situation where you have come up with a lot of reading between the lines to justify the decision! (she's an adrenaline junky with no actual ideals or strong connection AEUG! and I guess had a weird sexual relationship with Char! and yadda yadda yadda she betrayed everyone for those vaguely defined reasons!)

And I mean, even the Encounters in Space ending has her disappear and never being seen again...

The Delaz fleet had no great strategy for liberating spacenoids (who, incidentally, don't really want to be "liberated" by one of the most weird and  extremist branch of Zeon remnants), and has—as its only major accomplishment—the devastation of vital agricultural areas in North America (which leads to food shortages and increased tensions between Earth and its colonies) and wiping out a sizeable portion of the Federation fleet (but still not doing so much damage that it was ever brought up at all just 4 years later).

And that was all the result of their plans working perfectly. They succeeded at enacting all of their plans, and the only thing they really accomplished was thousands of pointless deaths, and giving certain extremist elements within the Federation military an excuse to grab major power, leading directly to the Gryps Conflict, and the First and Second Neo-Zeon Wars! What a great fucking job they did!

They wanted to send the message that the Zeon War of Independence isn't over yet and that the Federation didn't crush all dreams of spacenoid freedom just by winning the One Year War. They even did it in quite a soft manner, since they didn't target any civilian centers this time. Food shortages caused by the colony drop could've lead to the Federation becoming (even) more dependent on its colonies, giving the colonies more leverage in negotiations. Something like the Titans would've happened anyway with racists like Bask serving in the military.
