Also the church as a joke is worse. Either that or the smugness of the author. The author's claim of the atheists wanting to find God isn't really all that far off.

i stopped reading the article halfway when he started going into rants about how the human being was attracted to the sanctity of the holy trinity and thus needed to form communities and after he tries to justify the big bang as being inteligent design.  I dont usually put articles into threads that I cant even finish reading myself . =P

I didn't really get that at all. He's insufferably smug, yes, but he's trying to understand why this group of people would go through the motions of a church service without the whole faith part. It's pretty interesting.
