I often think, this is the kind of law where it's plain obvious that it will be passed sooner or later. There is just no denying that. Looking at the matter internationally, it's soon going to be a thing about who the backwards countries are which still cling to the old ways, just like secularization, slavery and women's suffrage (or rights in general) before.

Same here. There's this comparison going around on the Internet about how we see old people complaining about women voting or Black people, compared to how our grandkids would see us when we're old complaining about gays getting married. It's exactly how I see it.
