I might have mentioned some time ago that I ripped all of Huitzil's sprites. Since then I have spent some of my not-so-valuable time doing some minor retouching work on them. Mostly fixing shading inconsistencies, as well as correcting instances where a part shifts a few pixels out of place for a frame, or doesn't animate quite right. Since Huitzil's sprite set varies greatly between all 3 games, I've compiled them into 3 separate SFFs to keep things manageable. If you want to mix and match, Fighter Factory makes that easy enough. But, if you decide to do so, keep in mind that the Vampire Savior set's axis is positioned differently from the other two. So you'll need to choose which you want to use as a base, then reposition sprites imported from the other set(s) accordingly. There's also lots of unused material lurking in these sprites, so if you're interested in that sort of thing give them a look.Example of retouching work, original on the left, retouched on the right:Also if you would like some general effects from the Darkstalkers series to use with these, they can be found in my Demitri SFF and AIR set. Once again, unused effects are included there.Darkstalkers SetNight Warriors SetVampire Savior SetSo everyone, please use these to make some Huitzils for Mugen! Accurate Darkstalkers Huitzils, CvS Huitzils, MvC Huitzils, POTS Huitzils, Custom Huitzils, it doesn't matter. Just make some!
AHHHHHHH OMG it's finished! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! I can't wait to tinker around with this! Now we need someone to enhance these sets further by making kick ass CS versions! And this'll be the definitive Huitzil set (Not that it isn't already I'm sure!)I should make the air set for this unless you're already working on it
No, I hadn't started on any accompanying AIR files for these yet. So you're welcome to make some. Also thanks for the positive response!
This is awesome! Thank you for doing this! We need a really good Huitzil. I'm trying to find the time to finish the two characters I started, but this is too good to resist...
Thanks for providing this. I am back tracking all of my MUGEN character edits to do some checks and refine certain elements. This will definitely come in handy in my Huitzil/Phobos Zolagun edit once it is its turn on my to-do list.
I don't think you had a specific thread for Demitri's sff/air so I hope you don't mind me asking a question in this thread about it.Just a small nitpick really. Why do you have the Normal attacks grouped the way you do?LP 200MP 201SP 202, etc? When typically they are done as suchLP 200MP 210SP 220, etcThe only reason I ask is for standard's sake and ease of adding new animations later. The Docs recommend you use the standard increase of 10IMO this would organize the attacks better because all alternate versions could go into the 9 groups between.IESP 220, Near SP 221, VS SP 222, New Edited SP animation 223, etcI know this is petty but I'm just curious
Just lack of experience with standards, I guess. Sorry if it's an inconvenience.Anyway, looking back on the DS1 set there's probably still a little bit of part alignment fixing I could do, so I might update eventually.
