Hi There !

Recently , i got rpg maker vx ace lite. And since i am a great Fan of the suikoden Series, the thought of making a cool standalone game in the Suikoden 2 universe came to my mind. But for that, i need Sprites of characters from Suikoden 3-5 in The Style of Suikoden 2. Edited/evolved Sprites of Suikoden 2 chars could also be of use (give characters attack animations who didnt have these before and so on...)

Since i am getting used to cns and cmd coding by now, I thought maybe i could be able to handle rpg-maker scripts as well. I wanna start to learn as soon as i got enough Grafic Resouces. The Problem is, i am not good at spriting. So if anyone is interested in spriting or knows a Source with such Sprites, then please help me. all i know about is this Site : http://www.spriters-resource.com/

Of course I dont want to make all the chars from 1-5. Only the chars i like the most. You can think of it as a "best of" Tale. I even plan to make the true Runes usable.
i opened the games and websites to research for characters in order to separate the possible candidates from the "absolutely not" ones. Of course , I would like to reduce the spriters work as much as i can. But the thing is, Suikoden 2 proved that there CAN be more than 108 characters. Thats the fact that gives us the opportunity to implement more playable characters who arent part of the 108 stars. We can even include towns and dungeons that are not part of the story. easy ones, middle ones (difficulty increases with story progress) and endgame dungeons which provide a REAL challenge even for strong leveled characters.

for example chars from suikoden 3 shall be : Sasarai(sprites from 2 need editing-maybe without hat) , Luc, Yuber(sprites from 2 but with two swords-idea from me), Sarah, Albert, Chris(two costumes), Hugo, Geddoe, Flame Champion, Edge, Lucia(sprites from 2 need editing), Yuiri and Yumi, Duke and Elaine,

from Suikoden 4: Helmut, Kate, Hervey, Kika, Mizuki, Troy, Sigurd, Snowe (two Outfits), Lazlo,

from Suikoden 5: Alenia, Arshtat, Belcoot, Ferid, Galleon, Georg Prime, Gizel(two Outfits), Hazuki, Kyle, Lyon, Miakis, Prince, Rahal, Sialeeds, Zahhak,Zerase, Zegai,

from Suikoden 2 there will be more included, but i will only list the ones which need editing: Leknaat, Luca Blight, Neclord, Culgan, Seed, Lucia, Elza, Solon Jhee
and maybe a few ones who are only part of war battles and thus dont have advanced sprites for battle.

from Suikoden 1 there could be: Crowley, Windy, Gremio, Odessa, Kage(standing sprites exist in S2), Teo McDohl, Sonya , Kasim, Joshua,

until now , there are only 48 characters if i counted correctly. Of course, there are more characters. in general, the above mentioned chars are only those for battle purposes. there shall be chars who have jobs in the castle,too of course. i didnt think about those until now. And even for battle, there could be a few more. All of this will need more time to think over. But i think it becomes a little bit clearer now what i am thinking about. I am planning to include a feature in the castle that has never be done before even in the original games. The player shall be able to make Duels with the playable characters.
But first things first. I cant do this all on my own. If i cannot get enough sources and willing helpers, then maybe i will not even start it. It all depends.

Good thing is: not all chars from 1-5 will be included. there should be about 130 or 140. 108 story chars and 22 to 32 extra chars through optional events in optional maps, towns,dungeons and so on.

Problem is : Still there are many many chars that need sprite edits. i dont have experience with rpg-maker scripts and i do not know anyone who has. I dont know if the sprites from Suikoden 2 are compatible with RPG-maker vx ace or any other rpg-maker.
But i think, the biggest Problem of all these are the sprites. Thats why i opened this thread.
