Awesome.  I really want to see a video of that stage in action.  It looks gorgeous, but I feel like I need to see how it works in motion to really appreciate it.  I want to see what the gravity effects look like in a gameplay capacity.

wouldnt it be sick if sonic got a new stage with the same treatment...since his new game for wii is sort of the same as galaxy!

That would be a copy İ believe. Each character represents it's world in original ways with some small upgrades. They even use sound effects that do sound old school. Making Sonic's stage close to Mario's is more like making a unoriginal but, random Sonic there really.

Sonic did get such a stage, I think they revealed it along with him.

yeah sonic has a lost world stage, don't think it'll behave like the galaxy stage though

some days ago a handful of new 3ds screenshots showed up, mostly featuring sonic and toon link. take a gander
http://nintendoeverything.com/new-super-smash-bros-for-3ds-screenshots/

a picture showing ness and jigglypuff on the 3ds made the rounds as well, but it's probably a fake

why would anyone make fakeshots of characters that are more than likely showing up is beyond me

Titiln I dunno about that outline argument.

Look on the left side of Toon Link's head (our left), it grows gradually thinner. Look at the official Pikachu shot you posted too.
(though that leads to some thinking regarding depth's job in creating those outlines)
Plus, Ness has teeth here. His Brawl and Melee models did not.

While that shot may be fake, it certainly has more care put into them than those other shots.

I wish Sakurai would post at least one 3DS shot without the outline though. I wanna see how that looks.

Wouldn't that bomb have outlining?

Only characters and a few attached accessories ((Toon) Link's sword, for example) have outlines. Toon Link's bow has no outline on the official site, nor does Pit's weapon in any form.

yeah, right now i'm not completely sold on it being fake or real. the model used there could be a slightly modified brawl model, but then again the actual game would probably use a model that looks a lot like brawl's. there's only so much you can change in characters like ness. also, if you're going to make a fake this good, why don't you use brand new characters or characters people don't really expect to return.

Some just don't have the talent (see: 3D knowledge) nor resources to make convincing fakes of new content.

One thing about it that looks massively convincing would be the stage. If anything, that alone either proves the shot is real or a great deal of effort was had to recreate both the background elements and the platform textures.

Then again, it's pretty damn hard to leak shit from Nintendo.

EDIT: ...by looking at the platform again, I was too focused on the textures to realize the perspective relative to the angle.
Totes fake. Clapworthy though.

There's a reason everyone hates Puff players.  Ever been locked in the WOP in Melee?

So how is this stage working? Is it a new type of stage where you can move all the way around it in a circle, or is it one platform, or?
