Is this possible ? I've been searching the forum but I haven't seen anything that confirms that this is possible. I would like to try doing this can someone with obviously more knowledge and experience tell me weather or not this is possible. So the scenario is lets say in character select screen the player selects the 3rd palette when picking their character and I want a different set of effects(blur fx) using vars and the palette selection to be used when a specific palette(s) have been selected.  Is this at all possible ?

Yes, very possible:

trigger1 = palno = 3
