This article is based on personal experience and may not be applicable to all cases.
i use Antigravity by Google.

- Use the Claude Opus 4.5 model for thinking, or Gemini 3.0 Pro High for coding.
My approach to the problem:
Step 1: Ask the AI to create a template file containing the information needed to generate a strategy based on a 4-tier AI strategy framework. --> using Opus 4.5

Step 2: Provide all available character files and ask the AI what it needs to do and what information it needs to provide to fill in the template file. --> Using the Opus 4.5 model

At this point, AI reports will be generated. Just click OK, run the program, and tell it to fill in what it can. The missing parts will be filled manually by testing on the engine (usually, AI can't do things like this move, so it's used for anti-air, poke, or teleportation).

Step 3: After gathering all the information from the template file, throw in all the new template files (.md files, .csv files). It will process them to create a new cmd file.

Step 4: Refine by opening the ikemen, reviewing and repeating the process. Identify any unsuitable points and add further requirements for adjustments.

For example: the combo should start with state xxx, with confirmation of hitting the opponent, the next state yyy, and end with state zzz if the opponent's damage is reduced to fff HP, with a 60% chance of occurring.

Repeat dozens of times with different conditions.

Because there are many types of systems, this template file was created after analyzing the Garuda character. Therefore, it may require some different steps to better analyze the input and produce a better template file for each character system in different games.

Cost: It is recommended to use a Google AI Ultra account for the best results and to save time.

Creating an AI patch this way may cost around 100 USD per character. if you do from 0

I've listed the files, the prompt, and provided a list of sample template files to download below.

In step 2:Provide all available character files and ask the AI what it needs to do and what information it needs to provide to fill in the template file[
1st Prompt
1/ You are a programmer specializing in writing AI strategies for the Ikemen Go engine, an engine used to create fighting games.

2/ I have a character named Yang Fei with the following files:
hypers.st
normals.st
special.st
Yang Fei.def
yang-fei.air
yang-fei.cmd
yang-fei.cns

3/ I have a template file to prepare for creating the character's AI, including:
ai_character_prompt_template.md

CancelRoutes.csv
ComboPriority.csv
FrameData.csv
HitboxData.csv
StateData2.csv
These files are not Yang Fei's data, they are just samples.
4/ Extract data from the states and files in section 2 to serve section 3. Before filling in the data, does the data in section 2 have enough information to identify and extract it for section 3? What additional information is needed for the missing items? How can that information be obtained?

Some sections require manual testing and user input, such as the AIUsage and Priority columns in the StateData.cvs file shown in the attached image.

I've attached a list of phrases and tags that can be combined so you can choose the most suitable ones for your specific situation.

1) AIUsage — Types of Usage that can be filled in

This is a behavior tag for the AI filter to move according to the situation.

You can use a single tag or multiple tags (separated by |).

1.1 Neutral / Footsies

TagMeaning
NeutralAttack used when standing neutral
PokeLong-range poke attack
LongPokeLong-range poke attack
FastPokeFast poke attack
WhiffPunishPunish when opponent misses

This looks like it would be a waste of time. Could you show anything the AI actually wrote?

Currently, no, because most of it is AI synthesized from humans, but the future is uncertain.
If you want to ask about the results of applying AI to improve character AI, you can refer to this video as an example.
