Yet another problem

I've been adding a bit of damage dampening to another one of my characters, and I don't know which method I should use: The ones suggested in PoTS's "The Greatest Hits of Character Feedback" thread or a Proration system? If I go with the latter, I might need some help getting the coding to work properly.

POTS method is really simple to add, so I don't see the need to reinvent the wheel, unless you want to replicate the damage dampening from a specific game/system

I'm trying to see if I can use a proration system similar to those in Ricepigeon's Touhou characters.

Proration systems arent too difficult. At the end of each hitdef you basically just append a varset that multiplies the variable used in your damage scaling code by the amount you want. It may take a while if you have multiple hitdefs but its otherwise rather easy to implement.

Speak of him, and he shall appear. Huh. I'll try following your advice, Rice.
