Hi,

I love to change the sprites of existent fighters like the ones that you can download on the internet (for examples with photoshop and the several filters). But when the KFM has a folder where you can see the sprites, most of the characters on the net have ACT and SFF files. How can I have access to the sprites in this situation ?

Using fighter factory or mcm.
Sff is a compilation file where all the sprites are inside.

Thanks,

So I used Fighter factory and I can see the sprites, but how can I export them to photoshop for example ?

You can quickly export all sprites in an sff using the "Sprites" drop-down menu. If you use Fighter Factory 3, you can also get it to uncrop the sprites and export them all by using the "Save Image (aligned)" option in the "Sprites" drop-down.

The problems remain the same, the picture is always a SFF and photoshop doesn't accept it.

You have to open up the sff using Fighter Factory and go to the Sprites drop-down, and either export or save image (aligned). For the export, when you're picking the name and location of the exported sprites, make sure to select "Elecbyte SprMaker 2 (*.def)" in the Save as type dropdown. Save image (aligned) is simpler, just select "all", and name the sprites whatever.

I did it with another way, but it works ! I have 1400 sprite of my character in bitmap. Now I'm searching a way to apply the same modification to all of them at the same time, then I'll have to put those sprites in my game, how can I do that ? I just have to move them in my character folder and import this one in my MUGEN like a classic character ?

by default, any sprite exported from Fighter Factory (whether .BMP, .PNG or .PCX) will be indexed in 8bit / 256 colors: so, if you want to put any sprite back into your character with FF, make sure that it has been indexed back to 8 bit / 256 colors .PCX file (after your edits in Photoshop) or Mugen won't like that

It depends on what you're going to be doing to the sprites. If you aren't going to mess with their size, you can easily import them back into the project, but you'll have to export them out using Fighter Factory.

Just save the sff and you're done! Simple and easy. But if the size of any of the sprites changes, it gets more... complicated. What exactly do you want to do with the sprites?
