there's an automated message that comes up when a thread hasnt been replied to for more than 30 days but some people dont read it i guess
what i don't understand is why people get mad because somemone post in a year old topic like they just commited an international felony or something, "NOOB!! READ THE RULES""Why did you post in this topic for with such a useless post?" that's not very nice and respectful and i never once saw anyone link them to the rules just in case they missed it or don't think they apply, people just report it. There is no reason to get annoyed IMO, just enlighten.
The result is the same."This topic is dead and should be left alone" translates to "Stupid noob"There's really no way to enlighten them nicely, seeing, as KOD said, it should be common knowledge.People report it so they won't have to deal with the noob.Hopefully a mod removes the post, and the new user realizes they've made bad.You can PM the user if you want to enlighten them, but new users sometimes take this the wrong way.In fact, the last time I reported a necro-bump, I recieved an angry PM.
it is not common knowledge if you this is your first forum, which for many it is. ol. you got a death threat, then report the PMs or threaten them with Hacking, that should scare their wits off. hahahaha
On the necro movement. It's something that I have noticed comes and goes. I sometimes think it's better to just leave up everyone bashing someone for it. They won't read the rules but they will notice someone getting moaned at.When I feel like it I send a nice PM explaining to them. That would be a better course of action because it doesn't scare away new users.I do have to admit that I haven't been doing it lately because I'm loosing some of my green and am tired of doing it.So don't flip out on them and call them names just say, "Hey man this is real old, maybe you should delete your post before a mod does."
..I don't know what rules you guys are talking about, but those we have been having for about a year now don't say anything about reviving topics..

I found out a knew thing about the read unread problem.I posted in Missbe's hurt leg topic.Hit home and seen that my post was the mos recent. I hit refresh and then Missbe's post appeared underneath mine.This mean that I posted in a topic that didn't exist yet according to the home page.
