Introducing Sans from Undertale



I still have quite a bit of work to do, but here's some information:

I am building Sans specifically for SaltyBet, but I am trying to balance him as much as possible, so hopefully in the end he is playable.

Sans in an very unorthodox character. He doesn't hitstun like other characters do, instead he does single damage attacks that constantly hit the opponent, and builds up KARMA which does Damage Over Time. His attacks are easy enough to dodge (if you're a human player or have decent AI) but he has a limited ability to create 'combo's by having multiple attacks on screen at once.

Sans doesn't take damage normally, instead when he gets hit his special bar depletes, and when it runs out, then he will die in one hit. Doing any action as Sans also lowers his bar, so you have to be careful not to spam moves that aren't working.

Sans will have a significant amount of 'plot' dialogue, random Game Over messages, and any other thing I think fits.

Progress.

Got several things implemented this week, including grabs, red/blue soul that overlaps P2, a game over screen, the intro text, and a move that deletes your helpers (which is a reference sans' second phase, when he does his jump cuts) that is useful for re-positioning since sans has a limit on how many helpers he has on screen at one time.

Various balance changes, re added in no hitstun code that I had made but wasn't in the last video, adjusted damage and costs of moves, added some cooldowns, can now have up to four helpers at once, and upped blasters to two.

It's coming along, but there is still a lot to do. Lot's of text I want to implement, and a few moves I want to add.

Another update.

Quick little video to showcase opening move that only the AI will use. (once I get around to making the AI)

Progress since last update includes: intro attack, flying/gravity p2 state, gaster blaster special that randomly spawns around P2, more intros, various adjustments and polish to bones blasters and throws, heart overlay is blue now except when floating, and probably other stuff I am forgetting.

It really looks like I'm spamming with no one commenting, heh.
Do feel free to ask questions, make suggestions, and whatnot, hopefully you guys are interested in a character as odd as this one.
Also, updated first post with things, namely credits and better introduction to the character.

I do like how another new Sans uses a special meter to show how "tired" he gets in battle.

Will you try to implement his mercy/GET DUNKED ON somehow?

yes, of course, I had hoped to have that done for my video today, but I wasn't able to get it done this week, hopefully can show it off soon. The plan is to have it play during the first time Sans wins due to a time over.

I had to move the intro to post fight start, because it involves custom states for P2, and apparently you can't do those during the intro....

Implemented a custom lifebar for P2, and will be making one for sans eventually as well, it shows life and special, as you would assume, and also displays poison buildup ala the KARMA bar just like in Undertale.  Probably other stuff I am forgetting that I added, been trying to get dialogue stuff done, since there is still quite a bit of that to do.
