He's better than your past works easily, but I found one problem: You can easily infinite the bicycle kick (just keep repeating it in a corner). I got 80+ hits by doing it
Yes, I'll be making more MK characters in this style. I'm thinking of doing Raiden next, followed by Reptile or Kung Lao (purely because I like the game MK:Shaolin Monks).As for the recommendations:The bicycle kick is now slower. Blood hitsparks are a MUST for any MK character.2. Gore filled Fatalities are what makes MK characters great! I can see your not into Violence much, but if your trying to make MK characters.... They need fatalities and GORE! Look at Kazmer13's Shao Kahn.... Purely Awsome (EXECP The baby smashing fatality, thats just fucked up)

I'll keep working on Liu Kang tomorrow. At the moment I've been trying to create a Raiden sprite sheet in the same style. Not going very well. Also, about the fireball, it's getting changed. I just wanted to try making a custom shot, but obviously it hasn't turned out the way I'd hoped.Oh, and what do you mean the buttons are wrong?
Shazzo I have a suggestion for you.You can use a variable to determine whether blood sparks appear or not. Anyone who wants blood can then change the variable in your code to make the sparks display.If you don't want to that's fine too, you are entitled to some leeway here. The primary focus should be working on the character itself, aesthetics can be addressed another time.

As long as the blood fits with the overall style, it woudl be nice... But, what made MK1? I say this: The announcer voice. The ultra-ominous music. Stage art. The "audience" applauding in that one stage. All this made MK1 have a very merciless feel to it.
