It's very nice to see you again, welcome back. Love the Pocket Fighter inspiration, it's wild that never got a fullgame project by this point. Thank you for resurrecting an old but wonderful concept, hope you decide to stay around.

It can't be... This Decade We Are Seeing Again Several Well-Known Authors Who Had Disappeared From The Community, and it is also a pleasure to have another veteran here.
But, I wonder who will be next...CHOUJIN? Kishio? Or Elecbyte?!

That looks really great. I like that you conformed the gameplay to the sprites you have rather than attempting to make another conventional fighter.

Do the gems do anything?
You can help with Ikemen GO's development by trying out the latest development build and reporting any bugs on GitHub.

Yes, the gems fill your power meter, which then give you access to super moves and Chibi skills.

it is always cool to see old mugen contributor back  :8): i remember your galford when I was asking my friend the best version of galford from samurai shodown series and he directed me to your galford during the dos era mugen  :8): from what I could remember so far, your dos era creations were terry, andy and mai from fatal fury special, galford and haohmaru from samurai shodown 1 and also street fighter 1 dos mugen that characters can do super move  :8): cool to see you back doing a new project for the latest mugen engine  :bjugoi:

Yes, you are correct. Only capcom characters will be available.

The game is supposed to be in the spirit of Puzzle/Gem/Pocket fighter, while being a tribute to the capcom games of the past that I grew up with in the 90's and early 2000's.

Where are the sprites from? Is it from Namco x Capcom?

Just to put it into perspective. Date registered: 21 years ago.
I was 7 years old at that time. Your Gunloc was one of the first characters I downloaded when I started my journey of Mugen in 2009. You are a legend.

Yes, the sprites are from the RPG, Namco x capcom which was released on the PS1 back in the early 2000's.

They made two sequels for the Nintendo 3DS called Project x Zone 1 & 2.

Lol....21 years ago. Thats crazy.....has it been that long? Well, its good to be back.

Stay tuned for more updates. Hopefully, a beta release before the year is over.

Yea, I felt like Capcom should have made a sequel to Gem fighter, but I guess it wasn't as popular as the other Capcom fighting games.

Anyway, I figured I would take a crack at the gem system in Chibi Fighter.

If I may make a suggestion for the future... you could try to include Namco characters as well. Many characters from Namco don't get a decent representation in MUGEN, so it would be cool to have a Namco VS Capcom MUGEN.

He did say a bit earlier into the thread that he wanted to have capcom characters only because he wanted the game to be more of a tribute to the capcom games he grew up with, so I probably just wouldn't expect any namco characters at all

Sorry, I had not planned to add any Namco characters due to this being a tribute to Capcom 90’s fighting games, more specifically, the puzzle/pocket/gem fighter series.

But, a Namco x Capcom fighting game isn’t a bad idea.
