After seeing the trailer I'm still wondering if it's a standalone title or an update. I'm assuming a standalone, but I'm still psyched to see what exactly it is. Either way the graphics look amazing.
Although I worry if there will be micro-transactions.

I won't be surprised at all if it's freemium with one gimmick to seperate it from the main series. Pretty sure that TTT2 will still be "the" Tekken game. This is probably to garner more interest from casuals

Yeah this game has leveling up and stupid shit like guard cancels and crazy VF4 EVO Hyper Mode shenanigans.

They seem to have redone the characters, or at least the ladies, making them prettier and big-eyed than in TTT2. I guess that's one point for this.
And holy shit it's coming 2 days from now.

the new FX makes me think that they're somehow using this as an alpha for how should TXSF look like. I like the new direction the franchise is going related to FX. I wouldn't mind a pc version :(

^^ i guess TXSF got delayed. Maybe they develope it for the nextgen platforms now instead of the current ones..OR they want to release it for all platforms at the same time

That's sort of the point of free to play titles.  Hell, you're pushing your luck asking for half the characters to be free; DOA5 is getting a F2P version with four free characters.

yeah but DOA5U has a full version available. The f2p version feels more like a demo than a new game (Well, because it is). I wonder if we'll have a full tekken revolution? It doesn't look like we'll get one and we'll most likely instead get constant updates adding new chars, moves and stages. Sort of like any MMO.

since I was spoiled(?) by plaiyng fighting games in the arcades as opossed to consoles I guess I am one of the few ones who finds those free to play - buy characters as you want concept so great; I mean even if the game ends up costing twice as much as a disc/full version in the arcades playing a lto would mean spending anything from $1 to $10 usd everyday for years.

This whole free to play thing isn't a bad idea, but I think it would be better if they handled it like League of Legends and made the available characters rotate every week or so.

I believe Tecmo planned to do it like this, so maybe Namco will pull the same thing as well. I'm rather interested in knowing the cost of having a character permanent. I'm fairly certain everyone will probably just "buy" their mains and try out potential subs as they're rotated.
