DownloadQ: How do I play Ryu?A: Ryu is an all-rounder. He got nice footsies buttons, good defensive options and pretty solid damage with low meter investment. His magic button is the usual Shoto Crouching Medium Kick; its animation may be different from modern incarnations, but it serves the exact same purpose. Having a meterless reversal already puts him out there in terms of defense, but the access to Denjin Hadoken makes mashing Shoryuken on wakeup super safe whenever he has 1+ meter, and extremely threatening whenever he has 2+ meter. While Ryu can go all in with the bar during combos, I suggest to save bar for Denjin Hadoken to make his DP safe and to open up the opponent whenever they're overly defensive. Often times hit confirming EX Jodan Sokuto Geri into HP Shoryuken is enough to put pressure into the opponent’s health bar, anyway.Q: Wasn't Ryu supposed to have several alternate modes?A: Ryu was intended to have four extra modes. In the process of making Ryu I made so many discoveries that I ended up scrapping two fully playable versions of the character. As a result, before working in the extra modes, this time I wanted to have the main Ryu finished and ready to go. I also wanted to have a template for my characters moving forwards, and this version of Ryu with no extra mode is going to fulfill that role. Q: Are you going to add the alternate modes in future updates?A: I will. I’ll work on them over time. The idea is to bug fix this character as much as possible and then start working on the alternate modes one at a time. To avoid Ryu burnout, I’ll likely make new characters/update old characters between modes. I’ll keep the single mode version available in case anyone wants to use it as a template. This movelist is a bit more interesting than the previous incarnation of the char. Not much to point out.- Big portrait is facing the wrong way- Shakunetsu line blends poorly with the others (I feel your pain though). The Denjin one turned out better- For all intents and purposes Lv1 Denjin is an unblockable when you have full meter. MAX Denjin is also a bit nasty but at least you have to be really close to capitalize from it- Fireball clashes are a bit all over the place (tested in a mirror match). For instance MAX Denjin subtracts 4 hits from a MAX ShinkuI had a couple of inputs about the movelist design but then I figured that the more the char goes off in its own direction the better.Readme said:(maybe even more people, feel free to hit me up if I missed you)I did the donkey kick and electrocution, that I noticed.

I'm fine with it, kinda reminds me of the robbery of Denjin in 3S. While the reward is pretty good for an unblockable (167 and a hard knockdown) I think its mitigated by using all your resources. Hey I'm glad you waited all this time. I want to take a break from Ryu for a month or so to make another character, but I'd like to use January to make E. Ryu. Regarding CS, MT7 just finished it, so I'd like to add it to the next update
Yo! 4 readme errors: Senpu Kyaku and Kyubi Kudaki commands being swapped, Air Tatsu not having an EX listed, Joudan using a punch command, and lastly the air MP juggle listed as (not yet implemented).One more thing is that the signature is in need of another lad, but congrats on the release anyways, and a congrats in advance for what's next.
