Well, I was telling someone where to get his Bowser and when we saw a Ryu there the first thing that came to mind was "Fux, not another one"

But guess what this one can do that GGN's can't and RC 1.0 allows to do easier....

Well, Limited Moon's is good enough but that isn't an MvC1 complete change Ryu (Ken and Gouki modes) so yeah, should be kinda different. Though I don't know yet what bugs this one could have...

Are You kidding me? Not even 2 minute That I've seen that he has problems. Does why too much damage, AI can beat even the great Evil Ken and Evil Ryu, and I can't even swith to Ken and Gouki mode for the life of me. I know how to do it, but if anyone can do it then please tell me

his damage seems pretty accurate to mvc1. The main thing that bugs me is his hitvels. I cant even do the simply d.lk>d.hp>j.lp>j.mp>shinkuu hadouken without the enemy flying away. Heck D.lk pushes the enemy too far away for hp to even connect.

Doing these takes 1000 power away. So be sure to have a bar available.
Ken mode: F,DF,D,DB,B + MP
Gouki mode: F,DF,D,DB,B + HP
Revert to Ryu Mode: F,DF,D,DB,B + LP when in other modes.

The funny thing is, his AI isn't even cheap. It just plays very smartly. I think its a rather well thought out piece of work.

my only complaint is his MVC physics are slightly off, like his Upper cut into high jump for a air rave.

it just feels wrong.
but i love how the pallete works perfectly for him.

i wonder if the pallete thing can be useful for characters with different forms..

The palette thing will work perfectly as long as the transformation only involves palettes, such as this Ryu, or something like Zangief/Mech Zangief.
For something like SSJ2 -> SSJ3, the hair would still be a problem.

N-n-n-n-nottttt happening if you expect to keep the palette shifting.

While he's indeed impressive, I've noticed few things:
-Standing Roundhouse kick is misaligned
-He needs to make use of nochainid for the Ryu mode hurricane kick, as a QCB+MK/HK does a whopping 247-352 damage if done on a corner due to the fact it hit more than once.

Oh, and another thing.
If you were to fight this ryu, and he changes partners, or does complete change and changes if pallate, if you press F4 and restart the match, he starts the match as the pallate he was on last, and he still has normal moves. And if he summons his partners, he goes back to a normal pallate.

If his partner assists in his default colors, then he switches pallate.

Well it still doesnt make sense to me why he cant be converted to Win Mugen. I mean there are plenty of characters that change form in game. Zangief goes into metal mode. Sakura turns dark. Why cant he be converted to winmugen like those characters?

You cant tell me its cause he changes cause ALOT of characters in Mugen can change form and style of fighting by inputting a command in the fight...


What am I missing here? IS there absolutly NO WAY to have a ryu like this in WIN Mugen? I believe Ryu-X can change forms.... Only form that doent work right is Ken can thats cause of his airal kick move.


Can someone explain why it is that he cant work on normal Mugen?

PS- I cant move on untill someone releases a screenpack thats big enough. Like Red Navi and his collector style screenpacks. Until then.... Im not moving on.

What zangief are you regering to, if you were talking about mine then I did it with a palfx code, however ryu wouldn't work with that same idea. He can't be converted to winmugen because of both his .sff and the fact that he uses 1.0 only coding sctrls. There is no way around it so stop with this silly debate.

Exactly, also note that if you were smart enough to check the character's files you'll see there are NO .ACT FILES....WHOA! WUT?!? Mugen 1.0 exclusive magic there.

You want this Ryu on winmugen, you can always try making him. ;)

Now, I have a question...Is there any way at all to view the sprites in the sff? MCM and FF didn't work.

- Ryu's Fireballs are counted as a hit if you use another fireball. Like a combo Hit or something ( Like Kame's MVC2 Doom Proton shot)
- Shinkuu Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku is Crazy OTG. Hell spam it 3 times and say Good bye to 85% of your life
- Like Kame said, it's MVC damage accurate. But for god sakes, even for a Casual Ryu player that When you Air combo with Gouki Mode Ryu it can take like 45% damage with no sweat.
- Am I the only one who thinks Ryu's Shinryuken does alot more damage then in MVC?
- Speaking of Shinryuken, and I'm not sure If I remember, but does it really push you back so far that Ryu has to dash to keep up with you?
- Super BG is misaligned when You're doing a Air combo at a high stage (like the MVC2 stages)
- Super Jump is werid.
- Is it just me or does Ryu just float After the Shin Shoryuken
- Stun time when Hadouken is way to short (Maybe it's just a MVC thing. I don't remember that well)

Like I said before, I don't see why people like this so much. It's not that great. But maybe with some updates maybe we can have a decent Ryu after all...

And Vegeta can't even go SSJ3.

If these are accurate to MVC1, how much health did people have?  I don't recall his supers being able to take almost half your health away.  Usually about a quarter or so.

He doesn't change color when he turns into akuma mode. He's fucking powerful as shit and the ai is just crazy, and thats why I like this char ;)

supers in mvc1 took a shitload of health, the damage was supposed to be that high.

Oh, okay.  I knew that, but thank you anyway.  :)  I also understand the reason behind the "stream read error" on the 1.0 version.  Makes sense that there's not a tool for opening SFFv2, but I'm getting a stream read error on the WinMugen version too.   :-\  Oh well, thanks a lot guys.

There's a fix for that.

If you have MCM, open the SFF in that, then save it as normal.  Then try opening it in Fighter Factory.  Should work.
