Rise of Planet of the Apes has a slow rhythm, but I think the story is really interesting and gives a good explanation of why apes took over Earth in the 1976 movie. And the special effects to give "life" to the apes are astonishing IMO.

Thor
Finally watched it. Good entertaining movie, which is kind of what you're looking for when seeing it. The guy playing Thor is perfect for the role, and while the scenario is very basic, predictable and a little weak, this is compensated by good acting, nice special effects and overall tempo which is nice. A good watch to spend some nice time.
Grade : 7/10

Memento
Story of a guy who wants to find his wife's murderer, but has an amnesia problem where he cannot make new memories. Thus, he write all his notes on pieces of papers, photos and tatoos. Very nice psychological thriller, and a mind blowing ending.
Grade : 9/10

It's actually pretty good. I expected a lazy mix of diabetes inducing monkey-human relationship and crappy action scenes and got neither.

Really good! Im a big film noir fan and this has all i want from it. The plot might have been a bit confusing but in the end it all connects really well. And it's just really intense.

I need to watch chinatown next.

it was alright not the funniest movie i have ever seen. being a fan of charlie day, bateman and suidekis made it more enjoyable. jennifer aniston looks hot for some reason

Wow you didn't watch it yet ? It's like classic movie. It require carefull watching (I think more watch than just once). There is so many stuff that lead to some crazy theories about events in the movie. This is Nolan I love the most, not that commercial comic shit (not that it's are bad, I just prefer his non comic works)

You should really watch Nolan debut movie "Following". It's short movie (about 60 min.) shot all in black & white and it was made with budget 5000$. Awards for this movie & cash from it lead to creation of Memento. I must say both movies are equally great which proves that if you have good script and ideas then you don't need special effects, 3D or other shit to create outstanding movie.

I sincerely hope that Nolan will create more stuff like these two.

Yeah, I'm lacking a few number of classic movies, but I'm slowly catching up.

I like all Nolan's movies so far, whether it was done with very few budget or not. His latest movies have the "Oh WOW" thing due to special effects, while the old ones are often more deep with the scenario, but all of them are great.

Stranger than Fiction
A guy is just living a normal dull life. But one day he starts hearing voices of a narrator saying everything about his life, and he understands he's the hero of a novel... until he hears the narrator say "little did he know that he was going to die". The hero then does everything he can to find the narrator and make her change the story. Very original comedy, a few LOL moments and overall cool realisation. End was a bit slow, but it's still a good watch.
Grade : 6.5/10

Mean Girls
A comedy Gossip Girls in a high school with Lindsey Lohan. Yeah, quite the stupid movie with pretty girls. Still, it's actually quite funny and well made considering the type of movie it is. A good watch if you want to see a little comedy.
Grade : 6/10

Quite possibly the most fucked up zombie movie I ever laid my eyes on. Grotesque galore.
