changelog:
added correct standing hk frame
fixed time over pose

I changed my mind and didn't include the option to play with the USA version because I kinda forgot. Either way both US and JP winposes are still in use so there that. My original plan was to rip the US sprites and separate the parts where jp removed clothing to have as optional pals or whatever but that idea quickly fell out of plausible as I didn't want to do all that.

It says that on her display name brah. Her name was intended to be Asuka and that's why I named her that. I name all of them their intended name while keeping the one the game used as their display name since the very beginning.

They shortened names down to conserve memory so things like this slip through the cracks. Alternatively one would ask how chars with up to 6 characters get by and I don't have an answer for you. Either way it is what it is. As for her outfit, those are the JP sprites. In the US game which is also the original she wore red shorts instead of a red thong.

Ah, OK. I was curious because I loved this game back in the day and was unsure what the differences between the US and the import/JP were. Thanks for clarifying.

Now that I think of it, perhaps you could convert Double Dragon: The Shadow Falls characters?? I mention that game only because it was obscure and it also was for the SNES (just like your Gundam Wing set and these are). Just a thought. ;D

Aska was buffed in JP version too, her DP hit twice and did a lot more damage which helped her because she was low tier in USA. As for that game........no. I wont even consider it. That game was the worst snes fighter I've ever come across. And I've seen some shit.

LOL It was worth a mention. I think the only reason that game was great was because I was 14 or so when I played it. And everything was much better through the eyes of adolescence.

US vs JP. JP uses the same frame from far lk. US uses different frames. My sprites are JP and are based on JP version so that frame is nixed.

afaik, the japanese version was the original one and teh usa version got censored, so she wears panties/shorts instead of a thong in the usa version and she also has a different winpose in the jp version boobs bounce  where in the usa version they reused an attack's animation or something like that. that censoring was common back then, we were close to getting leotard cammy.
