Starting to play around with hacking SF2. I'm just starting to learn this sort of thing, so it's nothing spectacular, but as I get the data structure figured out who knows what may be possible someday. Replace the the original files in your ROM zip with the ones provided to try out the hack. Depending on your emulator, it may bug you about the ROM data being incorrect.

SSF2T Sound Scrambler (ssf2t) Mixes up all the game's sound samples resutling in aural chaos.

SF2T Shoryuken Nerf (sf2tj) Takes away all invincibility from Ryu's Shoryukens.

Hitbox Display Hack for SF2'T (sf2tj) Activates ingame hitbox display by default, without any of the weird dipswitch side effects.

You don't want to find out for yourself? :-X It should be pretty apparent as soon as you start up the game.

Oh, OK, I'll tell. I scrambled the sound sample definitions. So every time the game goes to play back a sound, whether it be a voice clip, a sound effect or a musical note, it uses some sound other than the one it was intended to. You end up with stuff like the opening of Cammy's theme consisting of the announcer repeatedly singing "WIN, WIN, WIN, WIN-WIN".

Now that I've started discovering hitbox and animation data in SF2T's ROM, I made a little experimental hack. It makes Ryu's Shoryukens (very) vulnerable.
