What's your favorite Fighting Game?

For all of you gamers out I'm just wondering what's your favorite fighting game, my top 3 personally is UMVC3, SSF4AE, and Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations.

I would not say that Mugen specificly could be called a ''fighting'' game... it's only an engine! .. But I guess you can choose from the ''Full Games'' of Mugen such as Shades of Manhattan?, Project-X?...


I have always been a fighting game geek, and my first fighting game was Tekken 3...
But my newest favorite fighting game must be Tekken Tag Tournoment 2, all full of fan service! All worth buying.. My fav char has becomme Dr.Bosconovitch ... Gotta love Z-Doctor!

Fuck yeah!! I agree.

But as far as official releases go, I'd say:

Tekken Tag Tournament is easily my #1 and I still play it to this day. I firmly believe that the bound system ruined what made Tekken great in the first place: positioning, interruption and reading your opponent. The bound system eschews all of that, so now you have 100 irrelevant moves because everyone does the same 6 in damaging combos. That nearly kill you. What's the fun in that!?

Street Fighter Alpha 3: Easily Capcom's pinnacle title for our favorite flagship title. Yes, 4 takes the cake in most cases. However, Alpha 3 introduced different grooves and a massive roster back when rosters were comprised of an average of 20 characters. Good stuff.

X-Men VS Street Fighter: While MvC2 is a better title in the technical sense, I like the first entry that started it all because you don't have to rely entirely on combs or flashy life draining moves. This title feels like a loose rendition of Alpha with X-Men characters in it. Classic. I owned a Saturn just for this game.
