There's still Street Fighter EX Alpha Plus for the SNES, which had Skullomania and Hokuto (though they're obviously not CvS-styled).
Maybe we could use their SNES sprites as a base to make CvS-styled sprites?
As for the others, I get the feeling that Bishamon is an almost perfect base for Garuda.

IDK... Maybe, never played that game though. Doesn't sound good at all.
Well then, I have to warn you first. It's a pirated port. ^_^
I like the smell of unlicensed games in the morning.

DivineWolf

I don't plan on playing it... Not at all.

*sadface*
I also checked Spriter Resource, they haven't ripped anything from this game.
And yy-chr isn't very helpful ATM.

Some progress...

Spoiler (click to show)

All required stuff and basic/unique attacks are done. Waiting on word from Sean for her edits I need before I send her SFF to Girard. FX for psychic knife attacks are subject to change. Just using what I have for now. Using the cut hitsparks that go with PotS' FX scheme, rather than what I had planned at first, to use Infinite's cut spark scheme. Because JMM is watching from the shadows... :ninja: I didn't want to scale Psylocke... But, decided against myself after comparing her size to other chars with her x value unscaled. She was a bit wide, still, w/e... It's too late now, cuz I'm sticking with the .8333 x scaling.

On a side note... My cousin got me the Mass Effect trilogy for my b-day. Why is this relevant you might ask...? Well, I had never played any of the MEs, and my cousin kept going on and on about how great a series it is. Yes, I've read reviews and heard a lot about it, just had never played it myself. Now that I'm playing it, it's clear that I was indeed missing out on a great series. My free-time focus is now being ate up by me being enthralled with ME... Cutting down my focus on my MUGEN endeavors... I gotta try and balance the 2, or it'll be forever before I put out anymore MUGEN content. >_<

My 120 hours of Skyrim are part of the explanation as to why Vegeta's development took so long. :P

Focus on what you think is best man. ;) ... and don't ever post JPEG images again !!! >:(

DivineWolf

Lol! I hear that. Played Skyrim a bit myself, but I'm more of a Fallout guy. :P As for the format of the pics... I just hit F12 man lol. Then upload it to Tinypic. I guess Winmugen saves screenshots as that format.

Cybaster

Winmugen saves in PCX format, so you had to do a conversion later on. Don't try to fool me. ::)

DivineWolf

Then Tinypic converts it then. I'm not trying to fool anyone lol. I told you my process, I don't change the format of the pics at all.

Momotaro

Must be tinypic or something.
It's always better to see the pixels itself, but I can't blame you since I make the error sometimes.

BTW 2 really nice projects.
I always loved this Psylocke sprite set... beside the fact this old way to make shade give a little flat colors.

Keep it up.

gamespy

What about her Ninjitsu Split special move?

Will that be included in her movelist?

thenwhat?

keep it up, man. looks really nice. finally, a decent psylocke that isnt imt.
lost and forget

I'm assuming that's her teleport special, right? Yeah, she'll have it. Basically, she'll have every move she had in MvC2, just nerfed a bit to fit with this gameplay style.

Bastard Mami

she has multiple bodies in one of the earlier games she was in, I think sf vs xmen, 3 or so bodies appear and all of them play the same animations but only of of those is real (can hit, get hit)

It's like that in MvC2 as well. But, I'm not going to do it that way. I feel the way Tjun handled it was fine, and going to leave it that way, save for some extra FX maybe when she disappears/reappears. I was playing MvC2 earlier 2day to brush up on her. Turns out that Kochou Gakure can't be redirected/controlled, in regards to the swarm of butterflies. Where did I get that notion from then...? :-\ IDK, maybe MSH...? But I don't think she even had that move in MSH... I could be wrong though. Regardless, I've decided to keep it how it works in MvC2. Still debating on whether it should be air accessible as well... Or keep it grounded, and make the butterflies unblockable for airbourne foes. Leaning more towards the latter. Going to make Psi-Thrust OK in air though. Along with Psi-Blade.

gamespy

I was referring to this move at 1:18.

It's her gem special for the Power Gem where she creates 2 clones to follow her attacks. She also had this move in X-Men:Children of the Atom.

DivineWolf

Ah, I see. Probably not. Like I said, I'm more sticking to her MvC2 scheme. Was there a gem system in CotA too? Seems kinda odd to give her that ability, without a system like that imo. Which is more than likely the reason she can't perform said move in MvC2.

gamespy

Not really a gem system but in X-Men:Children of the Atom, when the super bar reached Level 1, the characters were able to perform new special moves that required at least 1 super bar. And for Psylocke, that was her new "special move".

I see. I'll think about it, but, don't count on it. If I did, it'd be limited to a specific power level. If I made it a lv1 only, it wouldn't last very long. I'd might even reduce her attack power during it as well. If I made it a lv2, it'd last a bit longer, with no attack reduction. I'll have to think up a name for it if I do decide to implement it...

Anyway, I got all the edits I needed for her now from Sean, and have added them to her SFF. There's a few more things I'd like to look over and all before sending the SFF to Girard. An extra feature I 've added to Psy, is a wall(triangle) jump. In MvC2, she can triple jump. She's very agile, so, I wanted to try and retain some of that agility in my version of her. I at first thought to give her just a double jump. Though soon decided against it, because double jumping is not a CvS-ish function. Then it hit me, since Psy is the fast female fighter of the Marvel line up, like Mai is to SNK, and Chun-Li is to Capcom, both Mai and Chun-Li can wall jump... Yeah, I felt it befitting that Psy would be able to wall jump as well.

I'll be reaching a beta testing point with her very soon, by tomorrow. It could be today...but, I'm lazy. :P Just gotta finish her system abilities(parry, power charge, etc.) and throws. I'll put up some pics of the edits in action tomorrow. Sean did a great job on them. :)

Dampir

le dampir go offtopic and show le progress on aska...

i made those betwen yesterday and today if i could have a whole free RL month i could finish the sprites, well this project shouldn't take soo much; just alil of patience i want this one to be made within this year...

Bastard Mami

that's very nicely done, good work.
