@walt: are you a spriter or a coder? I don't remember...

I sprite KOF stuff. Haven't been very active lately though.
Spoiler (click to show)
Last things I remember doing:

[SPRITES] Working on the sprites for a Metal Gear Ray giant boss. This is still my current obsession, and it was re-awakened with the release of Metal Gear Rising.
[SPRITES] I halfassed the Air Orochinagi for Vans' Kyo FROM SCRATCH. In the end, I didn't care much for it, I'm still super hype SNKP copied our idea for KOFXIII.
Spoiler (click to show)
Many debate this JUST CAN'T BE TRUE but from my past experience, I'm certain SNKP is looking at MUGEN to get inspiration and ideas they have actually implemented in later games - They copied one of OrochiKOF97's Clark palettes and I think they put in Neowave or something like that. They copied one of Ironmugen's ideas to give Terry a Geese-style Deadly Rave in SVC Chaos, then Vans and I gave Kyo an Air Orochinagi, and about a year after they put it in KOF XIII)
[SPRITES] Helped with portraits for a couple of KoopaKoot's and Vans' characters.
[SPRITES] Collapse anims for Scal's Clark 98
[SPRITES] Alternate classic stance for Scal's Robert 96
[SPRITES] Fixed a couple of Reiji Oogami and Lien Neville anims (unreleased)
[SPRITES] Helped Thedge with a couple of fixes for Scal's Chris collapse anim, and some of Vans' Omni Robert edits (I just helped a bit with fixes, Thedge handled it like a champion).
[STAGE] Ripped and manually put together the BG for the MGS Helipad stage, coded by mh77.
[STAGE] Visually fixed the KOF EX2 Boss Stage by MadKaT, he ended up fixing it further and re-released it. Far superior to the source and original GBA stage
[STAGE] Pushed Ironmugen and Scal around to have the Burning Dojo stage fixed and released. Iron gave permission, since it was originally a UG exclusive. I manually edited out the plants from the original KOF 98 background, because they weren't in layers. That was my first Stage Edit, and it took a while because I had to do a lot of research on dithering to fill in the blanks and make it look legit. The last fix done was made by Scal, implementing a better BG fire, which I found in AOF3's intro. This may not be very exciting for many, but I'm really proud on how that one turned out

Old things (like hella old)
- Helped Ironmugen and Loona with CCI Ryo FFWA. I manually color sepparated in MS Paint all sprites to have sleeves and beard + fixed existing sprites. That took me about a month, non stop, 2~3 hours daily.
- Had an "Another Iori" project, joint with a guy back in 2005~2007 (when I finally gave up to some extent, after the other guy bailed on me, I think). I have a playable alpha with color sepparation over Vans' Iori lying around somewhere in my HDD to remind me of this defeat.
- Did probably over 100 sprites edits for Ironmugen's Ultimate Garou project, like PIM Hikaru getting converted to KOF style shading, some Shingo edits to fit the outfit used in the game, stages, cameos, etc.
- Helped Ironmugen to fix to perfection his Krauser's custom MEGA PIMP walk anim.
- Helped Caddie to make 1 unrippable effect for KOF Neowave's Young Geese. That one was a bit hard, but I'm proud because all existing mugen versions use it.

Coding? I only made a couple of cosmetic patches in the past (a long long time ago), and I believe I only released 1 of them :S

@Kumomi: When was the last time you heard from @Duo Solo:?
He was going through rough times (jobless, on the verge of homelessness, etc.) but we talked on FB all the time.
His FB disappeared and he's been MIA for a minute.  Have you heard from him?

Berry

Looking at our last conversation in late February, he was going back to school and getting a "real job" to help his family out. That's all I heard from him..

Is finding MUGEN to be more enjoyable to play when you're not wearing clothes an underrated opinion?

Hyogo

I just wrote the part about Wheel Gator.

@Blackmore: Why aren't you nauseous, nauseous, nauseous anymore?
Spoiler: Real question (click to show)
Why aren't you on Skype more oftennn?

Dreams In Stardust

1. Because I got a better avatar, and it demanded a BttF reference.

2. Because if I'm Skyping, then I'm not drawing. And that's an issue sometimes.

This thread is producing a shitload of bad grammar, at this rate it'll be a disease.

Berry

The Fighting Spirit edit. I didn't know shit about screenpacks at the time so it took me forever to get something I wanted to look right. Animations were also a bit hard for me, as well as creating my own images and how to add better effects to it. Guess the hardest thing about that was getting to make what I wanted since my coding was bad at first and my visual skills were pretty bad, something that could have been done in 30 minutes took me hours.

One of the works I most remember of you was Another Iori, but the use for those awesome sprites wasn't the best (Alucard's, I still hate his sparks and in part his gameplay). Have you think about retake this project but with KOF expert hands like Vans, [E] or Koopakoot??

Old things (like hella old)
- Had an "Another Iori" project, joint with a guy back in 2005~2007 (when I finally gave up to some extent, after the other guy bailed on me, I think). I have a playable alpha (30~40%) with color sepparated sprites over Vans' Iori lying around somewhere in my HDD to remind me of this defeat.
Sometimes I go back to it, but I don't really have the motivation to finish anything, being it's so hard to make. Lots of frames, lots of details, inconsistent set (98/2001/XI). Mid-way through my picking the project back up (I was color sepparating the hair) the XI set came out with redrawn hair, and I just wasn't willing to start over again trying to make everything match to that (I was actually redrawing the hair myself in each frame @_@ ). I just bit off more than I could chew, and I realized way too far into the project.

If I had committed to this project fully, I probably wouldn't have helped other people to achieve their goals (Iron, Scal, Vans, Koopa, Jz, Thedge and others), and I'm proud we could push many stuff forward that was worthwhile.

I'm hoping your Alternate Iori Need are well covered already, though. There's already Alucard's Another Iori 120%, where he sprited stuff I just wasn't willing to do, like CVS2 stuff, Orochi Mode, and custom extras. ALSO you already have XIII Iori, which is pretty complete and BEAUTIFULLY SPRITED + Coded by Vans.

oh yeah and get me a triple burger too

Goddammit you made me go to town to a burger joint with that comment.

@Seanaltly: What's your favorite bad movie?

Sean Altly

Street Fighter: The Movie.

I am a huge Street Fighter fan, and that movie should infuriate me. But it's just so fucking funny I can't help it. Legend of Chun-Li had some funny moments with Oz absolutely ruining my favorite SF character, but otherwise it was just plain bad. Van Damme's SF was so bad it was entertaining and endlessly quotable. I'll take conmen Ryu and Ken over Irish gangster Bison any day.

I see, thanks for the answer :) I like that design of Iori in specific (XII-XIII Iori is fine too) but I'm not too fond of Alucard's, but well :P
