Ask Barker

[davismaximus]

- When are we separating an horrendously complicated character spriteset again, like Spiral Silver Samurai?!

[Froz]

Do you have any plans for making more characters? If yes, which characters would you like to make?

I would like to focus more on Mahvel characters (Magneto, Thanos, etc), since I've been trying to slowly move out of the system I'm currently making them in.

- When are we separating an horrendously complicated character spriteset again, like Spiral?!
- How you doing lately?
- Favorite music genre?
- Palettes are an important aspect of a character, Im rite??
- Been playing any game lately??

-It's your call
-I can't complain, but I've been going through a tough route since I don't have enough financial support to go through college/my career. Sucks to be me.
-Rap/Hip-Hop/Alternative Rock
-It's definitely a fun aspect of the overall character, I assure you.
-Some Moojin. But like I said, I got no monies.

I'm down for any team work we're willing to do, but we need to decide what character we're settling for (That is, if GoodAldo wants to help us CS SS, Spiral, or any other marvel character).

[davismaximus]

I'm down to work on any Marvel character as well, just mentioned SS because of how ridiculous it would be.  Let me know if you guys decide on someone and I'll definitely help out.

[DivineWolf]

Do SS so Buckus will have more incentive to make him.

Anyway:

-When did you become my Uncle?
-What lies beyond the horizon?
-Sonic or Mario?
-Is divinity a birthright? Or must it be achieved through deeds?
-Why do I watch you when you sleep through your bedroom window...?

-My Waifu.
-Pac-Man
-It is the might's door, where humility is the key. So yeah, the latter.
-It was something about failed deadlines broken promises. :C

This is way past my 3-day count, so I summon @[user ID=28816]DavisMaximus[/user] to take the turn. I'll start us off:

-How did you find out about mugen?
-What got you into Color Separating?
-Is there any activity/perspective/compromise that helps you get motivated?
-Is there any other contribution in Mugen you'd like to take a shot at? (coding, lifebars, etc)

-Your favorite show?
-Your favorite anime?
-Your favorite western cartoon?
-Your preferred music genre?

Okay, I'll shut up now.

-In the long long ago, I watched a clip of Warner's Homer Simpson fighting Ryu or someone and it kinda piqued my interest.  I checked out a few different forums before finding this place and decided to stick around here.  You guys and gals are pretty neat-o.
-I always saw it as a way to make older sprites look new again without losing their original charm.  Doom was my first crack at it, as I always wanted him to have his 2009 color scheme, along with some others not available with his normal Capcom sprites.  One of these days I'd still like to go back and extend his separation even further.
-I assume you're talking about keeping motivated regarding Mugen.  I honestly just try and pick stuff I'm interested in, which is why I usually stick to Capcom/Mahvel characters.  I also like to take extended breaks every now and then, as I tend to get pretty burnt out tracing around 400+ sprites.
-I've dabbled with stages and screenpacks (most with pretty lackluster results), and I'd like to learn coding but I find I just don't have the patience for it.  At least with CS'ing I have all the colorful pictures to keep me distracted.

-All time favorite show would probably be Deadwood.  It's a goddamn crime that they never got another season or movie.
-Anime series: Cowboy Bebop.  Anime movie: Ninja Scroll
-South Park for sure.  Archer and Venture Bros are up there, but SP has been a staple for the last 18 years.  Rick & Morty are my shit too.
-This answer would change depending on the day of the week you asked me, but I tend to lean toward the heavier stuff (Tool, Meshuggah, etc).

[Kirishima]

What exactly is the face of mercy?

What comics are you currently following?

Favorite beverage on the go?

Any countries you've travelled to or have interest in going in te future?

Gaming systems owned?  Have you ever imported anything gaming related?

[davismaximus]

-According to AskJeeves this is.
-I haven't really been following anything too recently, but I dug up some of my old Marvel/DC Amalgam comics a couple weeks back.  Blew my little 11 year old mind back when they came out, and they totally still hold up.  Totally.
-Probably Monster Zero.  I hear they're really good for you.
-Never been outside the ol' US of A, but I'd love to check out Japan, Korea, Germany, and the Netherlands.
-Got and Xbox One and PS4 collecting dust, mainly just game on PC and WiiU.  I have a bunch of older systems in the retirement home (closet), but I'll bust them out on occasion.
-The only thing I imported was a copy of Shenmue for the Dreamcast from Japan.  It was all in Japanese.  I didn't get very far.

And with the world record for most questions asked and answered in 3 days absolutely smashed, I think I'll pass this off to the one and only @[user id=38733]Dcat[/user]:

-Saw a video of one of N64Marios creations
-It was something that improved my characters a bit and a whole lot easier than coding, just tedious
-drawing/artmaking
-Definitely gotta get back into character creation, its been too long...

-currently its a tie between How To Get Away With Murder & FakingIt
-Original Speed Racer
-Steven Universe
-pretty much everything electro, hiphop, country, pop, indie rock and alt. stuff

[Foobs]

Who's your favorite Gem?
Favorite beat 'em ups besides SOR and Turtles in Time?
Order the 90's, 2003 and 2014 TMNT adaptations from best to worst.

[Dcat]

-Amethyst since day one.
-Violent Storm, Konami's X-Men aracade, Mighty Final Fight on NES
-Here's my ranking pretty much
1.) Original Live Action movie with Casey Jone's aversion to "punkers" & Raph ambushed on the rooftop!!!
2.) 1989 Original Toon + Playmates toys Action figure line
3.) TMNT2 Secret of the Ooze,
4.) TMNT 2K3 cartoon (before all that weird time travel, "Trapped in the Internet Shredder" season)
5.) TMNT CG Movie,
6.) 2014 Nickelodeon cartoon has its moments,
7.) Power Rangers x TMNT Saban crossover special
8.) Live action Venus De Milo Fox series where splinter was friends w/ a blind Jazz musician
(watched an ep recently... it doesn't hold up )
9.) Michael Bay film looks fun, I haven't seen it...

[drewski90]

out of all the 4 turtles which one's your favorite?
favorite episodes from the 1987 series, 2003 series and the 2012 series?

[The Sudden Rarity]

-Your favorite creation you made?
-Your favorite creation from other users?
-(gonna get beat up for this) You plan to finish Sketch Turner?
-Besides the turtles, what other 80's-90's kid's based television/films do you enjoy?
-Do you like the Die Hard films?  Beverly Hills Cop films?
-Do you think Pokémon should just stop making more generations?
-Favorite sandwich from Subway?
-Ever watched Mystery Science Theater 3000 and if so, your favorite episode?
-Your favorite breakfast meal?
-Lord of the Rings or Star Wars? (This includes the Hobbit films and Star Wars 1-3)
-Favorite film of all time? (Can be any genre)

[Dumanios]

How is it you got into Mugen?

[Mr. Fael]

Here where i live, Shredder is called Destroyer (Destruidor), do you think that's a cool name for him?

[Long John Killer]

How can one truly be called The Shredder without a totally radical skateboarding finishing move?

Here where i live, Shredder is called Destroyer (Destruidor), do you think that's a cool name for him?

-Raphael's my fave turtle
-Favorite TMNT episodes would have to be that like 4 episode first season of the 1980's cartoon that was drawn overseas.
-My Skate Hunter for his simplicity, Krang for the mix-up in moveset/gameplay and Shredder for all the bonus features. Michelangelo's in there too somewhere just cause I like trying to finish big combos with his Light Knee > cross-under/suplex/piledriver move.
Its tricky but rewarding.

-CHOUJIN's Piccolo was really a huge deal to me way back when...
-Sketch Turner is very cool, I agree.
-Street Sharks, VR Troopers, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Secret World of Alex Mack and WMAC MASTERS!!!
-Die Hard's good I'm not Jake Peralta level fanboy though. Never seen any Beverly Hills Cops.
-Everything after the introduction of Elekid seems pointless to me. Squirtle, Elekid, Mew, Cubone, Magmar, and Togepi are my favorites.
-Tunafish on a Sub no cheese, no fancy melts, no toasted bread.
-I used to catch random reruns back on ScIFI channel ages ago, Never followed it, but I'm really into Other Space (Death of A.R.T. was amazing)
-probably a big bowl of vegetables, or french toast
-The Hobbit 'cause of Martin Freeman. I've always kind've detested Star Wars and how beloved and never-ending it is... (The new one has Moses from Attack the Block in it though so I might check that one out), the Star Trek reboot and Guardians of the Galaxy are my favorite star wars movies.
-Half Nelson is probably my favorite of all time. I liked The Raid along with Inception & Dark Knight but those are pretty obvious choices.
-Destruidor is a cool name for him and seems just as obvious as the English meaning. Is that Portugese or Spanish?

[Mr. Fael]

That's Portuguese

[Kirishima]

Do you still remember Mugen Infantry?  When did you first found out about that site? What else can you recall on those days?

[Foobs]

I think it's time to pick someone else.
