Does Evo take place at the same place every year? The only game I may be good enough to compete in is Vampire Savior and I haven't played it a lot either as of late.
But going just to hang out and meet you guys may be fun even if I don't enter.

If you mean by the same hotel... I think so. Then again, idk if they switch up hotels every year (since there are a lot to choose from in Las Vegas).

Speaking of Las Vegas, is there some kind of transportation via train to go there? Cause I don't want to fly to Vegas if the cost to do that is expensive and if I'm driving there, I don't want to fall asleep and crash.

Yeah I gotta go one of these years; love for it to be next year but my financial life is kind of a wreck right now. Finally working again so that's a start. Also need to hit up locals before doing something as big as Evo.

From what ive been told, if you save up 10-15 $ a day , by the time evo rolls by you'll have enough money for your plane ticket,  registration and room. You don't always have to register for a game! You can just go to evo and have a blast! Same applies to any tournament/major/local

Tempest because she's the only MFG user I saw kicking ass in fighting games (ALL HAIL LOS EL FUERTE )

Aside from that, that sounds pretty awesome. You gotta take a Super Sentai group picture if you people ever meet up in RL

Sounds like a plan, guys.

Besides the cost of the fee for the event and the plane tickets, if you are going to stay around 4 days you need about $75 for the hotel room (getting 4 people in one room) and about the same for food if you are willing to be extra cheap and eat junk food all day. If you take a plane to LA you can get to Las Vegas using Greyhound or something like that; the roundtrip ticket is around $30 if you buy with time.

That's if you have the minimum amount of money spent on the trip.

Unless my UE4 project ends up selling super well I don't think I'll have enough money to go to EVO next year (Or rather, I could get the minimum but it's never wise to go to a completely different country with a completely different language with the bare minimum money and alone). I did promise I was going to be the champion of at least one game in 2024 so there's that!

I am taking 2016 off for vacations, so unless it conflicts with any other event or convention I want to take part on, I will be there just to have fun and not play. because I suck at fighting games.

I played Xrd and Persona (Did good at Xrd and awful at Persona because I focused all my time in Xrd)
I dropped SFIV a while ago so I'm most likely super rusty (I only bought Ultra to complete the collection, but the game got really stale for me by the end of AE, it's time to move on to something new, this is why I'm glad SFV is coming out soon)

The EVO venue changes here and there, so you should wait for an official announcement. And yeah, be ready for Vegas's overpriced food, you can always bring cup ramen or whatever and save a lot of money (A decent burger and shake at Holsteins is about $40 already taking tax and tip into account)

And that's only lunch, chances are that you'll get extremely tired and hungry from being at the venue and waking up early for your pools so you gotta add breakfast and dinner.
So yeah, anyways, even if the food is expensive some of it is well worth it, and it's a once-a-year event.

If people are entering Vsav I might practice and also enter next year.

Because I don't care about sf4 anymore, I'm ass at mkx so I didn't want to waste money and I don't play any other the other main games. Besides evo is more about the experience as a whole than the tournaments. It's just one of those things that you have to be there to understand lol Hell I ran into and ended up hanging out with Mowtendoo for crying out loud.
