and the only way it got better is when Capcom Co., Ltd. got its hands on it and reworked some of its characters so they can be good enough to fight Street Fighter Characters.

What is 'good enough'? Have you even played KOF?

When SvC:Chaos came out it made Capcom Co., Ltd.s characters look like crappy KOF characters. They rehash the games, no different than any mugen contributor [no offense], and release with a different relearnable play style, and barely an ending.

The Marvel/Capcom Co., Ltd. francise made some of the best license games there ever was. Since Marvel left Capcom Co., Ltd.s influence, Marvel's games been sucking hot charcoal, Name one Marvel fighting or action game that has been awesome for Marvel heroes since MVC2. Imperfects, those 4 3D Xmen Fighter games, Those crap mmorpgs, No! So there, KOF sux alot, MVC2 sux a little.

KOF is better than MVC will ever be. At least in the gameplay department.

I doubt you can get through the first stage of KOFXI. So just STFU and leave this topic.

You know, if it's possible, well with MUGEN, almost anything is possible, someone should turn this into a project.

I don't play enough KoF, so someone with skill in both games should put MvC and CvS characters, and only those characters, in a MUGEN and compare them head-to-head.

Just an idea. It's probably already been done, anyway...

what you're suggesting is already being done.... you're suggesting that people create exact ports of both games and buth them head to head... it doesn't work that way... it looks ridculous when you have an ai watched mvc character fighting a cvs one... one can do super jumps and infinite air combos while the other can charge it's power system and play more techinical.....

it's either one way or the other...

I've been planning to ake some characters from mvc and turning them into cvs characters...

Both games are in my library along with 30 others, MVC2 is like 10 years old and they havent released a sequel since, or a rerelease like they do for their japanese consumers which is crap for the U.S. fans of the series.
CVS2, ive had for 7 yrs now, and Capcom or SNK best colmination they could do for that one was SNKvsCapcom:Chaos, and it was just weaker than CVS2s gameplay and funfactor.
The oldest games ive had were mostly capcoms, but now its just been too common that theyre releasing games that look and play like their previous incarnations, which is crap.  Because "coming, maybe next year, SF4! Maybe..."
It took [alphazero 3, iii 3, ex 3, cvs 7, mvc4] 20+ games and 9 years since III3rdStrike for capcom to finally get their CRAP together and maybe release SF 4 when Ed Boon and his crew, a company that is so much poorer and under funded than capcom released MK[7]Armaggedon, and Tecmo released DOA4, Namco even did only a few redux and will release Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur 4, Guilty Gear has had 5 and they go out of their way to change the characters and add more than just some quickly put together fighter, even Nintendo is going to release SmashBrothersBrawl.  Is it just me or isnt my right as a fan, consumer, and collector of their figures [2 different RYUs], Art Books, and Udon comic collector to expect the Best from Capcom. Even if it takes a long time to make a awesome Game, instead of just a Better Game. Also im pissed that Capcom doesnt do any licesnsed games like they used too, which is crap also.

"the [II,II',IIturbo,SuperII,SuperIIturbo,Movie,IImoviegame,SSF2TRe,HyperII]  greatest fighting game ever, 15 years ago, SSF2Turbo in HD...What the hell was wrong with that game before? Now its in HD, and Capcom wants to milk me, one of their loyal customers, to buy a PS3, or a Wii, or a 360, on My Walmart salary? Thats CRAP.

KOF, ive played since the beginning, and from what ive seen from the MUGEN series and all of its hard working contributors [i mean that from the heart] its really a joke when people who bust their asses working on a free game can make awesome original characters, when it takes a year every time for SNK to come out with their latest clone characters tournament. Dont believe me?:

But there not, if all they have is millions of programers and a country full of Illustrators, and Imagination, and then they expect us to wait for sf4. Then its not gonna be good enough, so theyll release the slightly better version in 6 months after the release, and this will just go on until were all middle aged and Capcom finally releases SF5.  Im not gonna wait, Ive got Crap to do with my life, well what little i have left.

CvS2,  MVC2, Tekken 5, Soul Caibur 3, DBZ Bodokai 3, DBZ BT, Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2, KoF06, SFA anthology, SF Aniversary Collection, KoF 94-2002, DBZ SSW2, GGXXAC, and Mugen, but i havent had alot of time to play them any more since i have like... a job and i go to... college, and if your life sucked youd want your fix too,

CVS2 was released 2002 or 2003, i think it says in the opening teaser...
MVC2 was released in 1999 in arcades every where and i remember cause i was on a field trip to disneyland and there was this effing line to play it and to play it you need 2 dollars $$ $$ [same year as SFIII3rd and SFA3 in the US ], and MvC2 put on DREAMCast in 2000, PS2 in winter of 2002 i remember that cause i bought the bootleged Nihon version and all 4 disks of DMC 1, released in the U.S. on PS2 late 2003 had to fight off some gang of nerds for the last copy

Hey wait a second... Project Justice played a little like MVC2 and CVS2 [minus most of the groove abilities and the midair supacheap combos and assists, but team supers and 3 KOF styled party of fighters] Plus it wasn't much of a button masher, and you had to know most of the moves to either fend off or take out the opponent. and it had a sh*t load of characters [main and custom] an engrossing story mode, and only a few clone characters [mostly the custom characters].

Damn it, Capcom! ReRelease your games here already, dastards...

Not sure how to compare them gameplay wise.
Guilty Gear has pretty much everyone beat when it comes to creativity.
You won't find characters like Zappa or Faust anywhere else.

Thats why they are Ultra RARE classics. I guarantee you if you go to any Gamestop, or wherever you "buy" UR games, you will find copies of CVS2, but you will not find any copies of MvC2, not even for the XBOX.
