Violent Ken [W.I.P]

Recently learning to become a character developer
and ive started a violent ken project yes i know theres many violent/furious/god kens
but it seems to be going well with this project of mine so i wanted to continue it.
I'm using open source sprites.

Are you going for an accurate char more or less like Vans, or for a custom one as Lord of the Flies ?
How many buttons ? What kind of gameplay ? What effects ? What moves ?

Will he have custom stuff to make him different from all the Violent Ken we have here ?

I'm trying to make him balanced.

He will be more of a SF3 move set
He will be different because i've never seen a non sf3 charset use sf3 things such as parry his moveset will be based on different combinations of sf3 moves such as Ryu Ken Akuma Yun just a different mix of characters.

I will be posting a gameplay video soon gotta find a good recording program that will support my computers settings.

Just to let you know, if you want to use any part of my Violent Ken for your development purposes, feel free to do it. Note that most of the edited sprites I've used are originally from Don Drago, but he is open-source as well and I'm sure he wouldn't mind either.

Initiation Sprite for suggested psycho mode (this is only a concept this isn't a guaranteed idea).




I have another concept him pointing forward like shao kahn and psycho shredder spinning by editing kung lao's spin sprite a bit or something of that sort.

I make an oath to myself to finish them to my heart's content before this year ends, and start developing a third character.

Be forewarned, SF3 estilio is hard to pull off. IIRC, it requires overwriting a bunch of commonly used states.

Completely misread what i said its gonna be a combination of chars from SF3's moveset meaning most likely 1 move from each char i will try to represent if possible and that doesn't mean all chars just a few i select and Shin-Akuma and Evil ryu aren't in SF3 last time i checked :/

New Name Ideas:
Rapid Ken (due to the variations of moves from different chars)
Psycho Ken (Suggested by someone over msn  )

Video Process for Mugen:

- Download SnagIt 8/8.1 and install it.

- After installed, a default compression device should be chosen for you already.


- Open SnagIt and Go to the "Capture" Tab then "Mode" Tab and Select "Video‿ Capture Audio.


- Go to the "Capture" Tab then "Input" Tab and Check Record Audio.


- Now make your Mugen screen set somewhere close to these parameters:

Width = 640
Height = 520

Or

Width = 560
Height = 460



- Now go to the "Capture" Tab then "Input" Tab again and Check "Window[ed]‿.


Optional:
Go to the "Capture" then "Output" Tab and select file. You may have to specify what type. (Best to use AVI)


- Back on track:
Then go to the "Capture" then "Output" tab again and select "properties".


- In the Video Files Tab, Deselect "Auto Configure" and change the frame-rate to '25'-'35' FPS


- Now run Mugen and re-activate the Snag-It window.


- Now click the big red button, wait for snagit to load, and when it's done, click directly on the Activate Mugen Screen. It should ask you to start recording.

You decide when you want to start it.


- To end it. Look at the bottom right of your screen and there should be a camera. Double-Click it and it will bring up a menu.


- Stop the vid using that menu and SnagIt will do the rest. All you have to do after that is verify and name the SAVE file.
