One question though

Are you keeping those sprites in the middle of the screen in when you release it?
i cant count the reasons i should stay

one by one they all just fade away...

It's a screenpack, not a fullgame.

It's looking better and better!

I have to say too : please don't put the Ryu and Kyo in the middle of the slect screen, it's too much like your previous work! Maybe you can put the logo of the game, or a moving planet earth or the variuos logo of many SNK and CAPCOM games fadeing in and out.

Another advice : maybe the big black arrows could use some colors too!

I think your referring to my original kofxiii sp where the sprites were static and didn't change. in my new kofxiii and cvs3 sp's the sprites are part of each 9000, 1 image for each character. so when you change character the sprite changes aswell.  here is an example.

the only thing i can say is .. the select screen looks too much like kof xiii . my only suggestion is to change that .. the rest is pure gold :P , and btw the option screen is ... uhu  :-*

I know i have to change the select screen but i need ideas/suggestions to get me going.   I have two ideas but I don't think either is quite right.

First option definitely. Second option just looks simple and "leecher"-ish. Although the latter would be more preferable for normal Mugen people.

For the select screen, maybe you can provide a template folder so people can make their own portraits and stuff.

i think the Slot should have alot more for the Cvs3, it seem not worth downloading with  smalls Slots of characters

I like the first idea a bit better but, the second is not bad either it just need some cosmetics touch ups. I say why not have a modified patch for two games in one. Have the first idea as pro and have the second as beginners. The pro you can have more custom animations and sounds. Also have many custom ports and the beginners could have a little more cosmetics done to it. Also, I don't mind if you used any of my stuff from my previous relese. "Battle Cry" screenpack which was a beginner's but, yet simple and cool fix. This is mugen so why not have two games in one and not just the basics. Since it's not a full game "Go for Broke" and don't hold back. I can render you some ports if you like, just let me know. Great works and good flavor. :sugoi:

quick suggestion : if u are gonna keep the portraits with black-yellow gradient change the background to yellow too ... that blue with the yellow doesnt looks so good . plus everyone knows that CVS is full of yellow :o

The first option looks very original, keep that.
My suggestion is that you change the yellow to contrast with the blue or change the blue to contrast with the yellow, or maybe make it  red to contrast with the member select font color.
On the second idea, I love the idea of having a full image of the charatcer cause it shows off the personalitiy of the character.
Overall, the first idea is amazing simply because of it's originality, and the second idea is okay simply becaus ethe idea has been used so many times before.

I say....Keep both!

As Snake said it's cool to have custom portraits and all, but for people that want more slots and don't want to mess with the portraits the second one is the best, just need some touch up.

Some ideas for the 1) :

Yellow, black, white and blue don't mix so much... try with deep red instead of yellow, the outlines could be blue.

For the second one :

Keep the old background, it's much more cooler. Maybe normal big portraits for more characters?
