As it was already the case before the update, this is some wonderful sprite art. I really like the tones/shading viden to the skin, and overall the sprites are beautiful.
I just wish the FX and hitsparks could be high-res too, for more consistency.

Otherwise, I'm not entirely convinced by the gameplay. It's meant to play like a KOF chars, but it doesn't enough to be satisfying.

Now THAT'S hi-res!

People should refer to art like this when they're trying to make something hi-res. Glad this wasn't put through some dumb filter that smudged up the colors and thickened up all the lines.
