I have a problem with running metal slug on MAME

ok I am running MAME32 plus 0.83 and when I run my metal slug game it gives me a message with a bunch of files that are supposedly missing.

this is how I have it.

MAME32 plus 0.83/roms/mslug.zip
MAME32 plus 0.83/roms/neogeo.zip

what am I doing wrong?

how is it pirating? what did i do to pirate it? its not illegal to have the game on your computer if you have the real thing...

oh, sorry, if the case is that youa re doing it legally then what you need to do is open up your neogeo and dump the bios chip adn name is as neogeo.zip, you also need to redump your mslug cartridge and name the chip's files paropiately, then put them inside a zip named mslug.zip.

so the neogeo.zip needs to be in the mslug.zip to work?

nope, it still didnt work. my problem is that it isnt detecting things that are there. take another look at the screenshot.

no, neo geo zip, needs to be in the roms folder only. if its still not working try re loading the metal slug files. PEACE.

it still didnt work. It still gives me the same error $:-\$ i dont get it. I mean didn't I have it set up correctly in the screenshot in my first post? mabey its the MAME version im using.

yep, I was right. version 129b i686 works
