Thanks. I only practiced a few things, so I went in there pretty blind, so I didn't know how match ups went and how to deal with the BS Sonico, Homura, and Saya have. If I'll continue to play it more, but we'll see, since Norcal has people that plays it. I also got top 8 in ST as well with Cammy and Claw. :D

Jamessmithy967, no, just shut up. One cannot claim said character is a waifu if one does not know about said character. You not playing her in the games she's actually been in is another major no no. Mina is pretty depressing character, but you only "like" her because of her looks.  As someone who actually plays the damn games and uses Mina, as well as knows Mina's character and background, it's easier to call you a damn jabroni. You are not the real.

See? That's where I failed in like.. all the tournaments I entered, I got eliminated (or sent to losers, sometimes both) by Japan. But that's that's fine with me, only you can get that kind of competition at EVO and it's awesome to finally be able to play such niche games offline against other people. DFC's netcode is just... ugh.

I know the feeling, you go there to compete and play people from all over the world so DQs don't feel right.
It was just great all around to see those games there. I would totally entered Aquapazza, but I never really played it enough to understand the game. As far as DFC's netcode goes, it's a coin toss, but online in that game has was really irritating me weeks prior EVO, since things that shouldn't end up working, such as any wake up AB attack. I guess that's online though. At least people were right when they told offline was a hell of a lot different, but I'm not surprised though, for obvious reasons.

On a side note, I was one of the people that competed in the money match against GO1 in DFC and out of the 5 people, with myself included, I was the only one to actually take rounds off of him. Sadly he didn't use Shana against me, but apparently his Kirito is ranked 3rd in Japan, or so I was told. I was surprised I was able to do what the others couldn't. I still lost $30 though. xD

They kept botching my name. I entered as the usual, but some how the guy read it as "Monster666" and then I tried to correct him, then he kept calling me "Mooster666" for some reason. Later on in the set, one of the commentators asked what my handle was and I told just told him "MooMaster" and that some how became "Moonmaster" which was puzzling.

I was able to track down the results of the Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo singles tournament I entered, and I found out I got 13th place with Cammy. I'm even surprised about that.

So for my first EVO and tournament, I got 5th place in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax with Akira and Dokuro-Chan assist, 13th place in SSF2T with Cammy, and 3rd place in Samurai Shodown 2 with Cham Cham.

All in all, I really surprised myself, since I went into every game thinking I wouldn't do that good. This really showed me that I downplay myself too much, but again, I am still surprised. I'm going next year again for sure and my manager, Kamekaze, will be assisting me again too.

When I heard about the DQ, I was happy that I got in top 8, but disappointed I wasn't able to fight for the spot to see if I truly earned the right to be in top 8, but it is what it is. I was also able to hold my own against a couple Japanese players, so that made me happy.

Sure there's some people that already know about it, but DFC got a patch on the 25th. Here's the patch notes.

Game Balance changes:
- Set a restriction for the support gauge recovery in combos for the support character 'Alicia Melchiott' . Revised to be the same as arcade's 1.30 version (Still can combo multiple times in the same combo though)

Rank match functionality additions:
 
- Rank match support character select now memorizes the last support you choose.  (To avoid picking the wrong assist on accident)

- Added the ability to invite friends to player rooms.
- Added an option to set a "Room Icon" and a "Room Comment"
- Added a chat room, that comes with chat macros for simplicity
- Added a sound effect when someone enters a player room.
- Character select now  memorizes the last character you choose. (To avoid picking the wrong character on accident)

Well at least you can invite people to rooms now which should have been there to begin with.
