I'll make this brief

- When I hold up to constantly jump, there is no landing sound effect.
 - Try to get the sound level even. Some voice clips of Garfield are very low, in contrast to others.
 - D, DB, B, (kick) - Remote Possibilities
   Use a sound for the remote. Either a button press, a beep (maybe use something like the beeping sound from that episode "Remote Possibilities") or some sound for the remote control "ray".

Summarized use more cartoon sounds. The TV show had few (and when then very short) moments were there was total silence. It reeks of silly sounds (and music in the background).

- I tried getting the landing sound to play, but couldn't. Right now it's just mainly there for IKEMEN Go because I'm sure it plays the sound no matter what (the debug mode otherwise wouldn't shut up without it).
- I'll try to work on that but some of those I'm sure are more the volumescale's fault rather than the voiceclip. Believe me, I tried with this one.
- I actually do have the sound for that, I just haven't implemented it yet.
- I didn't go wild with the sound effects for a reason: I wanted him to feel more serious. Yes, he's more goofy in nature, but this isn't the last time you'll see this excuse pop up.

EDIT: Sound for Remote Possibilities replaced and a few other things done in a quick fix, please redownload.

While there still has to be things left to add for Garfield before he's 100% ready for release, it's time to answer a question I've been asking myself for a while:
Where the hell do I go from here?

Well, here's the current state of things:

Garfield:
Main parts of this update (Air Happy Day and What's On Now?) are complete but need some additional polish. I'm also doing several things to make him feel much more like a complete character... to the point where what'd be left is bugfixes and one last hyper. While I will be doing bugfixes anyway, I'd wanna take a break from him after this beta, which leads us to...


Jenny Wakeman:
My second collab with Wlan and also the second Nick character I'll be doing. There isn't much to talk about here at the moment as there isn't a lot of sprites made for her yet, but once I truly get her off the ground, she'll be added in the current WIPs section. But I don't wanna limit myself to just making cartoon characters, so in comes...


Harley Quinn:
Unlike the other two, this one's pretty much going to be a complete overhaul edit of Batzarro/Alexziq's version. Had a whole moveset for her planned and everything. However, what the hardest part here is going to be is recoding a lot of everything and taking measures to reduce her filesize. You'll probably start to see progress on her in the current WIPs section after the next Garfield beta drops, but just know she's only partially started.

There are also a couple other plans (that aren't current pipe dreams) but those are on the backburner until I solve their issues or after significant progress is made on one thing or the other above. There might also be a chance those plans will be scrapped as well. But still, at the moment, the above three are main priority.

Garfield moveset updated to reflect upon the current state of the character (including the in-progress Beta 2) and slightly updating the Level 3. Star's moveset has been slightly updated to remove mention of Hackin' Hairballs (which, as of posting this, I forgot to remove a certain detail from but that will be removed) but is otherwise the same. [Detail removed, but I also updated the Cat Cannonball reference comic since the move went into a different direction anyway.]

Keep your eyes peeled for another moveset, which most likely will replace Tom's since I barely had any ideas for it... and me feeling like I couldn't do Tom justice really didn't help.

Best Bond for the engine. Like, there's no contest. However, like with Lum, he does slightly suffer from a few flaws.

  • The range on that grab hyper he has could be slightly better. The move is fine besides that.
  • The laser watch is kinda weird and even as a anti-air tool I don't think it's that great. I do like the concept though.
  • The rocket hyper is the most flawed part of the character, as damage per rocket seems a bit weak and it feels like they should be spawned on one side of the sceen or the other and not Bond, which results in a lot of the missles missing the opponent.

Again, not a bad character at all, it's just that a few flaws slightly drag it down for me.

Looks like Garfield became so happy, he's able to twirl around in the air.

Yeah, Beta 2 is in progress, so it'd only be fair to start giving him new stuff. Here's a peek at the new air version of Happy Day, and here is a short combo involving said upcoming move.

Main post updated to fix a spelling error... but mainly to link to Holn's recent AI patch! I did some slight fixes to it, but I'm gonna allow Holn's patch to get some steam before I release said fixes.

Even then, the fix is something basic, so the patch for the patch is just going to include a couple files instead of repackaging the whole patch.

One last update, it just really involves some Cat Pounce fixes by Jenngra and me (again). Like better damage values and the move not hitting more than once (like the previous version's hotfix).

No changelog this time as it's just Cat Pounce being fixed, but I'll see you all for Beta 2, whenever I get that done.

HOTFIX: Some additional fixes for Cat Pounce by Jenngra505 have been applied, as well as some additonal chip damage tweaks for said special by me. Redownload and apply the patched Specials.cns to the folder. Replace everything if you haven't updated yet.

Feels a bit more solid now. Found more things:

- If the Remote Possibilities item is hit by P2, he can still use the remote without effect
- If the alarm clock is hit by P2, he can't use Remote Possibilities anymore after it disappears
Just did a hotfix to fix those in particular. Actually did wake up like Garfield on a Monday finding that out.
