Is it fair to say that SNK has completely jumped the shark?  If using the long awaited sequel to one of their most beloved games of all time as a platform to flaunt Saudi celebrity connections doesn't qualify, I'm not sure what does.
Hell, peeps are boycotting and cancelling pre-orders and shit over this, but that's a bit of an overreaction and I'm still hyped for it, but I understand since it's gonna have to live and die by the goofy celebrity guests.

Nah, I absolutely understand where they are coming from.  Almost 30 years of waiting just for the iconic and beloved Fatal Fury IP to be reduced to nothing more than a vanity venue for one nauseatingly rich dickhead is foul.  If it was just CR7 it would still kind of suck, but whatever, he is one of the most famous people alive, especially to the Latin American audience that makes up a lot of SNK's own fandom.  But now we're at the point where anyone with the loosest of ties to Prince MBS are getting full development resources and time towards becoming a full fledged character in what's supposed to be the grand finale of their flagship franchise 25 years in the making.

Yeah and the fact the guests are announced like a week apart from each other is clearly a PR nightmare which is definitely not desired under a month before release.
Both guests were most likely the prince's obligation, as with some of the other bizarre marketing stunts like the Ring sponsorship.

While we're here, it's worth noting there's three character trailers coming soon on the site.

It's likely these may just include the DLC chars doe.

I guess these bizzare guest choices is a result of wanting to cashcow it to make sure the new Fatal Fury they've been wanting to make and finish for decades is marketed up the ass and has international appeal to make a success.
I think Ronaldo is enough frankly and the internet went nuts over it for better or worse (any publicity is good publicity I suppose), though Salvatore looks hella interesting move-wise has a neat stage, they coulda just kept the deal to the DJ Music selection and save a slot for a fan favorite.

What was your latest progress with Leona before throwing in the towel?

One thing to ask: What are the differences between the IKEMEN version and normal version?

Only real suggestion for Hinata is perhaps making the Air Rasen Enbukyaku flaming like the ground version.

It's a shame about the stubby animations, but I understand that not much can be done about that until someone comes along and redoes them, though she's still not too bad overall.

Voice or even Sound Rips from the COTW Beta?

This is a bit of an ask, but I'm editing Rock for my upcoming game to have gameplay reminiscent of how he is in COTW complete with the Shippuken or maybe even Power Geyser, and I wanna use modern voices in the game and I kinda wanna have his voice rips from this, preferably the Japanese voice.

Street Fighter vs King of Fighters - Capcom VS SNK 2.5 [IKEMEN GO]

Yup, this is my new MUGEN (well, IKEMEN actually) project that I've been on-and-off with since Autumn of last year.
For this, I plan to be a lot more long term without rushing through. In hindsight, I'm not overjoyed with how Street Fighter All-Stars turned out in the end as I wish I could've added a lot more to it. Characters will still be the priority here, but when I have the time and place I wanna give love to other aspects like the screenpack and other potential additions, and it was a bit cheap back in SFAS, namely due to little experience, and it was pretty much solo work after all.

Roster:

The main goal of the roster is including what hasn't been seen in the previous CvS games and what's come out since, like stronger SF3 representation plus SF4 and beyond, plus the NESTS and Ash Sagas, not forgetting a few essentials.
It's once again going to be mainly hefty PotS edits, and some still need sprites, namely the likes of Luke and Menat.
Things are, of course, subject to change, but I think most will be pretty aight with the line-up.

System:
Once again using the PotS system as a base, the plan is a gameplay style that is a mishmash of classic and modern, mainly taking inspiration from SF5 and 6, plus a touch of KOF XIII + XV and COTW. It's gonna also have a sorta simplified Drive Gauge with EX moves and old-school Guard Crushing, Power Charge also charges Drive instead of Super Meter. You'll also be able to cancel from specials into EX specials, at the cost of 3 drive stocks instead of 2, inspired by XIII's Drive Cancels and COTW's Rev Accel. Lastly, there's Hyperdrives, and they're usually sudden, invincible, super-like moves that fully drain the Drive Gauge and disables it for the rest of the round - a tiny bit like Heat Smashes from T8. Even though you'll use Drive for the rest of the round, one plus to this is not being able to be Guard Crushed.
Normals are also like in SF5/6 with no close/far variants, but I do want to give fighters a fair amount of command normal to compensate, with KOF-style chaining into them.

What has been done so far:
5 or 6 fighters are being worked on atm, and they are in varying levels of completion. I'd say Ryu, Kyo, and Terry are in the best position though.
Stages have yet to be added. At some point I wanna take a shot at 3D Stages, but I might stick to 2D until I know what I'm doing.
Screenpack is still super WIP, only the main menu and select screen have really been worked on, and I'm still using default MUGEN stuff like the fonts.
I wanna have two kinds of arcade modes, a classic, more random mode, and a "story" mode with more fixed opponents and rivals.
Lastly, and this is very pipe dreamy, but I wanna add a proper 'cinematic' Story Mode with a plot like Shadaloo running the KOF Tournament and forming a sorta alliance with NESTS.

Early Screenshots:

Art:
Yeah, I'll be making original portraits for each fighter, though it's mainly tracing over sprites, it should be something fresh for a change.
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

Lastly, here's the three Level 3 Supers I've done currently:

Credits So Far:
Original Characters:
Ryu: KarmaCharmeleon
Ken: Jmorphman
Kyo: Jmorphman (Sprites by Hatter and Falcon Rapper, Color Separation by KOFHERO77
Terry: KarmaCharmeleon
Iori: KarmaCharmeleon

Custom Sprites:
sabockee, SeanAltly, KarmaCharmeleon, and more...

Additional FX:
Violin Ken, Vyn, RaZorbakk36, Meldo Wiseau

Sound or Voice Rips:
miner600, Mysticus, tatsudojo

Stay tuned for more info as I make progress on it. I'll release an Alpha in (hopefully) a few months once I've completed a few characters.

I would say MEGA's fine but I lost my recovery key for my account coz of a PC break and haven't felt like going back since.
Currently I just use Google Drive and it won't fail you as long as you are aware of the Storage limit and aren't uploading gargantuan files too often.

Updated the iceberg with a few more entries.

- Not sure if this counts, but would "Ntcore's 4GB Patch" fit? Lots have usual trouble running 1.1 due to being OpenGL software rendering. The 4gb patch was the only way they could run it on the possible lowest specs hardware.

4GB Patch isn't kinda unrelated to Mugen in the long run, so it's inclusion is a bit doubtful.

- Original WinMUGEN 2002.04.14 private beta (was limited to only 2 characters and had a 10 minute timer before it closes)
- BrokenMUGEN HR (not sure if the one in the iceberg means the screenpack or the modified engine that initiated a C&D by Elecbyte)

The Beta kinda ties into No Limit Patch assuming that's what it was made for, though.
May put that actual beta kinda low seeing the sheer rarity of it.

BrokenMUGEN is refering to the engine. You can tell by the Text Color.

- Kong (known for his MvC2 characters that had inaccuracies, bugs and a cheap A.I. in their hard mode but contained some new stuff and even additional hypers).

Kong is already there, on the 4th tier.

Thanks for the suggestions, peeps. Not all of them will be considered but there's still some good stuff here.

I tried to stray from entries focused on Cheapies, which is the case for most Mugen icebergs out there currently.

Any thoughts on what else I should put into it?

Are you replacing folders and files with the contents of cvsx720Normal? Try putting the folder in the data folder instead and config it so it's data/cvsx720Normal/system.def

Kinda curious here.

Was the unzipped jacket your decision. I was desiring it to be semi-unzipped like the official art and winposes. Not gonna complain too much though.
The thing with it is that it kinda obsoletes animations like Intro 2 (191) and Win 2 (182)

Does this mean Street Fighter All-Stars' support is ceasing?

For the most part yeah. I'll still do a quick hotfix for two if more issues are reported.

NO, MAN, NO.
- Copy-paste? My ass. You could have used the original work of some authors, but you edited it to try having something cohesive. Also, having different styles is something we've kinda seen in games as Tekken 7(classic fighters vs power bar characters), so this should not discourage you. NO, MY FRIEND, NO.
- Sprite Inconsistency: Who are critizicing this? People whose names are not know in the community, or 13 YO children who doesn't know how hard is to code or sprite. These lazy bitches children should stick their tongue somewhere under their back or learn to code or sprite properly to AT LEAST having a glimpse of the hard work and the time you spent doing this FOR FREE for the whole community.

Also, comments as "Juri, Cody and Sakura are not new in SF", BITCH THEY'RE NEW TO THIS PROJECT.Everyone knows about them.

As said, useless lazy cunts who only knows to complain because they want something free with the quality of a paid game. They're useless. Don't pay attention to those comments and keep the good work!

Yeah, you don't really know how tough it is to make a high-quality character or full-game until you try yourself.
I teased it in your DMs, but the next game is surely gonna have Hi-res vs Low-res sprites, which is why I put some emphasis on it in the post.

This is out of the blue but I know it's easy for people to criticize the game (namely in YouTube comments) because of the copy-paste nature of it.
This is understandable, because there is varying quality and style in the characters that were used (Batsu and Alex were originally Infinite style, and the other are PotS, and Retsu was originally his own style by LESSARD).
It's easy to judge the sprite inconsistency too since we still don't have top-notch CvS style sprite sets for the Alpha characters like Guile and Sagat. As much as I'd love to get new and good sprites for them, it's the best I am gonna get and the inconsistency is probably going to get even more noticeable with my next project. That's just the MUGEN way.

This is of course my first full-game project, and it was easier to just edit existing characters and convert them to the game's system while making adjustments here and there. It was also easier to keep the system rather simple, being limited to EX Moves, Parries, and Rage Moves.

My next full-game is definitely going to be more long-term. I'll be making up a template with the mechanics and such, and then bringing the characters into it.

I'd like to thank y'all for the support on this game over the years, and I hope y'all are gonna look forward to my next project. as I'm surprised it hasn't been a MUGEN (or IKEMEN) game yet.
