I have 2 ps3 remotes that me and my bro play mugen on but it seems odd to play with street fighter 4 controls to play mugen.
If you play with the ps3 controllers what mappings do you use? Something that works well with 6 button characters plz.

A = square
B = triangle
C = L1

X = cross
Y = circle
Z = R1

I use:

X = Square
Y = Triangle
Z = L1

A = Cross
B = Circle
C = R1

I'm pretty sure that I am doing what Taybear above is, but I prefer to have the fierce buttons mapped to the shoulder triggers. I've been doing it this way since the SNES days with SF2 Turbo. Which, if you think about it, a PlayStation controller is practically an SNES controller with two extra shoulder buttons.

Square/X Buttons are Jabs
Triangle/Circle Buttons are Strongs

I did abc & xyz backwards. so ignore my post. I do what xan does, and @ sai z & c would be the fierce buttons with that set up, making R1 and L1 the strong hits :)

When I was a novice, I kept the jab buttons to the shoulder triggers since I was fierce happy and didn't know any better. Then I got accustomed to Vega/Claw and his poking game. And then things changed for the better. ;D

I agree with Taybear and Saikoro and will use this mapping and give it a shot. Thank You!
P.S. I wish mugen had extra button mapping in their options menu for a+b+c and x+y+z  for easier combo inputs

I was a huge noob back then.

I also did something similar for certain characters a while back.
