Explod orbiting effect

How would I make an explod spawning from a helper orbit that helper?
20*Sin(Time*25),20*Cos(Time*25) doesn't effect it in any way. I've used this in every way I can think of. It doesn't work.

The coding below was the general idea, but it spawns an explod every tick instead of actually moving the explod. From my knowledge, explods are only capable of moving through accel and vel. I also tried messing with those with things like 5-(Time)*-.5, but the bold part doesn't work.
I would use helpers, but I need to use a large amount. I want to make sure there's nothing I can do before I do the strenuous and time consuming orbiting effect in the anims by positioning each animation one by one.

[State -1]
type = Explod
trigger1 = !Time
anim = 8011
ID = 8011
sprpriority = 5
postype = p1
pos = 20*Sin(Time*25),20*Cos(Time*25)
scale = .5,.5
ownpal = 1

[State -1]
type = ModifyExplod
trigger1 = 1
ID = 8011
pos = 20*Sin(Time*25),20*Cos(Time*25)

Sin and Cos takes the argument in radians. So time*25 is far too much, more than 3 entire circles, try something like time*0.05 instead.
If it still doesn't work then it's a bug with Modifyexplod and you have to use a helper.
Oh, and there is no bindtime on that explod, you need at least bindtime=1 otherwise pos is ignored completely. Positioning is only applied while the explod is bound.

Well, I can get it to work, but it's only changing the position for the next explod thats gonna spawn. It doesn't actually move it. Vel and accel are also unaffected. I need to use a helper or make a bunch of anims to get the orbiting effect I need by positioning them one by one... ._.
Thanks for helping me figure it out.
