Hi. I like Mugen.

So I'm trying to figure out how to use this one character. There's these commands in it's readme file that say stuff like HK, HP, LP, and LK. Sorry if I'm a bit ignorant, but what do these mean?

Better saying:

Look carefully:

HK - High Kick
MK - Medium Kick
LK - Low Kick

HP, MP, LP - The same with the kicks, now with Punchies.

Some people will also write SP/SK instead of HP/HK, to say strong punch/kick.

also :
s.LP = standing LP
c.LP = crouching LP
a.LP = aerial LP

then there are the common motions

qcf- quarter clock forward- down forward
hcf- half clock forward-back down front
hcb- half clock back- front down back
dp=> shoryuken motion or dragon punch, forward down , down-forward
360=> full clock motion

2p and 2k also stand for "any two punches" or "any two kicks"
