  • A frame here, a pixel there.
Oh, cool. Nice to see more SF2 stuff.

Whoa, he pointed out that Guile's old far standing light punch from World Warrior actually exists unused in later versions, and like many of his other sprites was actually retouched! I like the cut of this guy's jib.

I love Kaz's work. This Guile seems to have a lot of options to him, he'll be fun to experiment with.

His characters always very great

Those characters would be great if the author would fix those infinites. :S
Or got the frame data...are these really his animation speeds? I'm not feeling it. Normal speed wasn't THIS slow (in particular on B/F+HK) was it?

Also I'd like to mention Sonic Boom has like 20x too much hitstun and is an infinite into itself for some reason, and the super command is wrong. Should be able to be done using D,F,B,U without the requirement of diagonal inputs, as this was the case in ST.

But are there truly grown men in this world?!

Alright to go into more detail about this Guile, I'm going to talk about the other most important part that sticks out as incorrect, that being the hitboxes. Most of Guile's attack boxes are already documented at http://wiki.shoryuken.com/Guile_(ST) this link. For comparison, I would like to point out the issues involving some of his most important spacing moves as an ST Guile main.

- Lack of priority on Cr. MK (documented in the wiki as crouching short). It's supposed to have priority at the tip to reward spacing with it as it is probably Guile's BEST grounded poke barring Backfist as a punish move.
- Diagonal Jumping HP hitbox is absolutely neutered in this Guile. It's supposed to be this amazing normal for air to airs and it's just not very good here at all.
- The list goes on really. A lot of Guile's critical hitboxes are just not as good barring his crossup.

If I may make a recommendation to the author (if he ever sees this ;_;), check out Guile's hitbox/frame data above! The adjustments can be made fairly easily and I think it would greatly improve the character on a base level!

But are there truly grown men in this world?!

¿Sekimatu_Guile is the Hyper SF2 Guile or is inside of SF2-Guile?

One little nitpick I had is why he used the SNES sound rips for normal Guile instead of the Arcade sounds? Luckily I can just replace those sounds with the Champion/Turbo sounds. Also, the score system is pretty neat. ;)
- AI is configurable

Also, where in the config can the AI be configured? I can't read the characters.
