Hell yea, Eternal Champions was just awful. 
IMO, it was far worse than Mortal Kombat.

Well it does come off as a bit nasty, but making character death a bit more serious is a good way of making the violence in a game have some actual impact. Thought it remains to be seen if the game will cross the line to being just plain gratuitous.

The PR for this game is still retarded though.

i would, mortal kombat just comes off as sort of silly, eternal champions' deaths are like legitimately uncomfortable to watch happen in a match

kind of hard to crack jokes when your character is caught in a glob of chemicals which causes him to slowly melt away as he screams in agony, yet still tries to escape as he's rapidly losing limb after limb

hell even the washington memorial fatality was supposed to be funny but that's still somebody impaled thousands of feet in the air with a massive hole in their gut

don't get me wrong though in the sense of the word 'worse' eternal champions is, quality-wise, far better than mk
