I wanted to start a thread about my various sprites, since many of them will likely never be made into a character (not because I don't want to, but because I have too many ideas and designs to ever be able to make all of them since making characters takes so much time). Anyway, when I released my original character Tristan Samroy, it was with the idea of him eventually being in a World Warrior-style full-game featuring characters representing their country in a tournament. I had this whole plot written out but I just never got around to making the characters. I might still one day, who knows. Anyway, here are a few of the characters I had planned:

Tristan Samroy

This is what his (eventually) updated sprites will look like. Tristan was supposed to be the main character, a spoiled rich kid who didn't have the discipline to master any one fighting style, but had enough money to be trained by the masters of several different styles. He entered the tournament to prove he was disciplined so that his parents would not cut him off.

Bryce Lowe

Bryce is another rich kid and Tristan's best friend. Bryce's family started out poor but worked hard and gained their wealth by earning it, while Tristan's family is rich with "old money" as they call it. Bryce entered the tournament to support Tristan, but also to try to defeat him to prove that anything can be accomplished through hard work and dedication. Tristan often calls him "B-Lo" for short, which he hates.

Sasuke Saito

Sasuke is a legendary Japanese puro-resu who has been facing increasing pressure from his promoters to retire due to his age and banged-up body. Instead, he enters the tournament to prove that he is just as strong as ever and that Pro-Wrestling can be used as a legitimate fighting style.

"Bam Bam" Jareth Braham

Braham is a younger Canadian pro-wrestler from the famous Braham family of wrestling legends. He enters the tournament for the sole purpose of defeating Sasuke to prove that he is the future of pro wrestling. He is a "heel," in wrestling terms. Braham and Sasuke would have been head/palette swaps of each other (I've always wanted to attempt this myself and see how I would do the whole Ryu/Ken headswap thing).

Illian

Illian would be the final boss of the game. He is a Russian political extremist who is plotting with the game's other villain, an American mercenary named Siege. The main story would be that Siege is the twin sister of the USA's first female president. Siege is jealous of her sister's success and position of power, and so she hatches a plot with Illian and his independent army of followers to kidnap her sister and pose as her to become president. She would then use her power to eventually allow Illian and his army to take over the country and create a unified USA/Russian superpower. Their alliance is referred to as "Cold Fusion." However, just after executing the initial stages of the plan, Illian delays things by allowing his pride and arrogance to take over, deciding to partake in the tournament to prove that he is the best fighter in the world. Siege enters the tournament to keep an eye on Illian and to make sure he doesn't ruin their plans.

There are more characters as well, I just never made any sprites for them. The countries represented were to be the USA, Russia, Canada, Japan, Spain, France, England, Norway, and India.

Anyway, I'll be posting more of my sprites here, just for fun. Let me know what you think.

Looks good. I played with Tristan and I can't wait for any of the other characters your coming out with in the game.
Are you doing this after SHADES 2?

Recently made these 2 anims for Kamekaze's Balrog. They're two moves he has in SF4 sprited in Alpha style.

Boom, I know the guy has a ton of haters, but I made this sprite for fun. I was inspired by working on CM Punk and thought it might be cool to see another wrestler in sprite form.

I can't seem to get his face right, but I do have a hard time with faces in general, they tend to all look the same. If anyone wants to take a shot at making it look more like him, feel free. Also, his arm looks a little short, but I think it's the wrist bands and the size of his hand making it look short. I should probably fix that too.

I'm pretty sure his skin should be in a lighter tone, but other than that, I like what I see.

Yeah, the skin would be lighter, I just used those colors because I used Guile's hands and I wanted the skin to match.

I would have expected his jeans to resemble Terry's in terms of texture. Other than that it's nice to see Cena sprited since he's pretty much the face of WWE.
