Look at your sprite. Now back at Navetsea's sprite. Now back at your sprite. Now back at Navetsea's sprite.Sadly, it isn't his.Look at his sprite.Look how smooth the legs, the mid section and the torso just flows together? That's because all the parts have the same perspective.

Vegeta 20XX, KOF-ish Edition said, September 12, 2010, 08:52:07 pm@Navetsea: Wow, that does look good, though it has a side effect of making the sprite look more masculine than the original article (I'm not all too big and manly). I'll see if I can pull out one more final version, though I'll have to leave the jacket as-is since the jacket is more rounded than in your version. Also, your most recent sprite looks good, but has a "mix of old KOF and CPS-1" look to it.EDIT: More complete:Comes with all of the palettes I used for older versions of the sprites - the last one is color separation.sorry there for editing your sprite, I hope it was OK since I dunno how should I explain the hand and face if not through example.what Anjel said about perspective can be corrected if you redraw the zipper line of the jacket especially on the bottom part of the jacket shift it to the right 1 or 2 pixels, and also on your lightest part of the chest, shift it 1 pixel to the right so the chest doesn't look tucked in.and on the left, around his belt, next to his sprite left arm, why don't you make a more sexy silhouette, like trimming waist band( the one pixel horizontal line on top of the belt) by 2 pixels , and trimming the belt 1 pixel so it will enhance the point you want to make roundish jacket over a normal/ not fat figure.and maybe also affected by the sprite right leg that has very crowded heavy lines on the thigh, I know the pant has ironing line while in a slightly diagonal view like the left leg it looks hot, if applied vertically it is just too much/ heavy unless you have more lighter palette for it, or play wit highlight instead of an actual line
@Navetsea: I tried to follow some of your advice regarding the zipper line and belt/pants, and here's what I got:Also, I pulled your edit out of the image you posted, and applied the same palette that my sprite uses:EDIT: I made a composite edit based off of both your edit and my sprite:I'm trying to see what will look good with the whole thing.
I guess it is better, I also like the dashed line pants, that white stripe on the bottom of his jacket is too flat needs more shade on the left, and there is a missing 1 pixel dark right on top of the sprite left hand connecting the hand with the jacket's cuffI see you like that head height proportion, in that case, here I try to edit his face a little, I use the darkest hair tone for the eyebrows part nearest to his nose, because it will enhance the eye shape, even when he shifts his iris to other direction, since your character has very pale hair it is better to use the darkest shade imo.and the shadow under the nostril is too dark and close to the corner of the mouth and chin and together it can give wrong effect like open mouth, so I tried to make some workaround. still in your head height proportion, and that format of shading on the jaw, side of cheek will give effect of strong jaw, give idea of diagonal line of jaw muscle from the corner of the jaw to the center of the face. I found that out accidentally while rendering girl face lol.
my edit of Death note , he need more details but is my first edit ...Enjoy!! bitches xdPD: Feedback are welcome.
Vegeta 20XX, KOF-ish Edition said, September 13, 2010, 11:36:55 pmSomething like this?it is weird to see he grows like that, since the initial pose is not slouching at all, maybe it is over done, how about altering the shading on his jacket instead showing more creases when exhaling, and less creases + more light on the chest when inhaling, or raise the torso only without raising the head, if you want to make head moves a little then it is better to left when inhaling like the head being pushed back when the torso is expanding. and maybe some facial expression like replacing the mouth with darker tone when exhaling give impression of open mouth, just an idea,
FeLo_Llop said, September 15, 2010, 12:47:21 pmIt's LOLiZuru!!! Yeah , Quote^ looks weird body proportion is too realistic compared to headI kwon.. I know... she is my 3th sprite to make when i was bored .
