If this thread still lives (and I hope it still does), I can probably make some JoJo Portraits and maybe some portraits for the non-SHADES of Manhattan characters that SeanAltly's been releasing like CM Punk and Jin Kazama (as I'm a fan of his work). Just have to learn how to do them.
I can't believe this thread is still alive! If I recall I was supposed to be making some portraits for you all. Ugh.....
Here's a portrait pack for PotS' Dan Hibiki that I made.WARNING: It's quite crude and some of the images, I had to make a transparent PNG copy of because the pcx version of it wouldn't work. If anyone would like to correct my terrible handiwork, I would be very much grateful.http://www.mediafire.com/?4cwmpp6c6pfq64e
Hey guys, here's some portraits I've been making for the past few days. They're all just basic 120x140 9000,1's. As we all know, the axis for standards are just x=0 & y=0. There shouldn't be any stray pixels either, but if there is, please let me know so I can fix them. Hope you guys like them, I got tons more coming. Yeah, I noticed after posting them that this wasn't just a regular portrait thread. Sorry guys. I'll locate the portraits thread and have them moved over there. Again, sorry about that. That's what I get for not reading everything. Won't happen again.Edit:Does anyone happen to know if there is a regular portraits thread by chance, and how to find it?

Yeah, I gave the search a shot, but all I kept getting was this thread, and random ones that just mention the word "portrait" in them. If it's cool with everyone, I'm just going to leave them here for now until I finish up the rest I'm working on which won't be long, and then start a new portraits thread for regular styled. I hope you guys still check them out in the meant time, even though they don't quite fit in, which again, I apologize for.
These look pretty good for a large set of bundled portraits. What's your editing process look like??Thanks for the share!!

Ok, I don't quite understand how to make these myself. I feel really embarrassed, but the work I've made wont even appear in my mugen. Can someone please explain to me how to install portraits.

Nice image, but terrible conversion pixel wise. Kenta-San said, January 22, 2012, 07:01:52 amOk, I don't quite understand how to make these myself. I feel really embarrassed, but the work I've made wont even appear in my mugen. Can someone please explain to me how to install portraits. No problem!! Installing images is the easiest part. Making them with high quality standards.... Not so much. There are three main groupings:9000,0: Small Select Screen/Lifebar Portraits.9000,1: Select/Versus Screen Portraits.9000,2: Optional Victory Screen Portraits.Simply open up Fighter Factory or Zcad 9 (I forget the name for this particular program, but it's primarily used to edit sff v2) and search for your desired portrait that you want to replace. Also, make sure that portraits don't share palettes or you're going to mess up the entire color scheme that something uses. Lastly, if 9000,2 is missing, simply use "add new image" and be sure to save. I prefer to use .PCX files as my main format to prevent color loss through the method I use. Standard resolution for common Mugen use is 120x140 with 72 dpi (dots per inch), or in laymens terms, overall resolution. Stick with 72dpi as it makes editing far easier. It's wicked easy once you get the hang of it.
Hi guys ...i have a request here for six characters if that possible : Storm - by storm, Psylocke by WhiteMagic2002, Blackcat by Sprites: Beja, Xfields Codes: Mauteck, Eclipse, O Ilusionista, Venom by ???, Shuma Gorath by Sludge & Wonder Woman by Loganirhere's some pictures for help : for victory screenfor select screenfor versus screenfor victory screenfor select screenfor versus screenfor victory screenfor versus screenfor select screenfor select screenfor victory screenfor versus screenfor select screen for victory screenfor versus screenfor victory screenfor versus screenfor select screen
I'll tell you one thing: You got a good eye for good portraits... These are some fantastic finds. I love that Storm shooting electricity out of her fingers. One problem with her MvC2 variant is that it's too low resolution to convert her over to something nice looking. The same can be said for Magneto. If I wasn't busy with finishing up my MvC3 set, I'd certainly make a couple of these. Not to shamelessly plug here, but check out my Marvel stuff in my sig. Maybe you could find something you might like that's already converted.
Thanks ... i'm a Marvel & Dc fan so i know where i can find what i want ...Ok i'll take a look at your topic about marvel and see what i will find
