Hi ,All i`m new here and new to mugen as well had an idea 3 years ago,and thought someone else would try turns out few were interested,in my own search for sprites,i found Angus sprites on this forum which motivated me too get some char sprites and stage and even the life bar on mugen-hi
bear with me im a newb i think i got the pics loaded right :) I`m just learning how to do this if you want the lifebars i made i would need to know how to send the fight.sff to you

I think i found a link to upload i just wanted to find something quick to where i did`nt have to register just to upload a small file but i think this will
work it`s a WIP life bar id ont know if theres a way to make blood drip down in mugen.let me know if u think theres a way with coding or something.i`d appreciate any feedback and or help your more then welcome at any of my sprites

yikes....to be brutally frank none of this looks too good. you're going to want to not have filters on when you upscale or you'll have those statues with pink outlines all over them. and emulation for this game is extremely buggy atm so stages will be really awkward to make since half of the stuff for it is missing, but your idea in the last pic seems like it'd be decent if it were cleaned/ripped properly

and no, i don't think there's really a way to perfectly replicate the lifebars in mugen

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER ever save sprites as *.jpg!!!!

Use png,bmp or pcx instead.

Thanks for the input,the third pic is just like what you said an "idea" and thats why it still has the pink outline,the second pic with the statues also had the pink outline can you tell,well when i make a final decision on the stage i do a final touch up can you tell?i guess i could  rip the entire stages piece by piece,if people want the full stage rips i guess i could piece it together,this is the only game i will ever rip from so i guess i should go all out,so to speak.I thought that i should make my own stages as opposed to ripping and making the stages straight from the game.i manually rip each sprite then piece it together.I had this new back in 1994 i was only 23 years old.I got the Atari Jaguar for this game only to get my fix while i was waiting for Mortal Kombat 3 for the playstation one in 1995.then i traded my jaguar for a psx one.Every other game for the jaguar sucked to me, but this game has a special place for me.It actually ment something for me back then.And when i saw no one else ripping the the sprites i figured,well someones got to do it and with all the other good games out there why would any bother with it.This is my progress just in the last two weeks.I Ripped Habaki sprites,let me know if i should rip them again or finish what i started,i found the orange ninja outfit on habaki tough to make a palette with.I will try senzo and see if its any easier,but then again iam new and even if i made every char from this they could only perform like Kungfu man.I seen a volcana char from ultra vortek that was cool and seemed a bit far more advanced then i could have made it,but like everything else i just need time to learn Mugen.The life bars is what i made with only like 15 or 20 minutes playing around with it.Sorry,I made the sprites as .jpg only because i thought it would`nt show up as pcx or bmp or .png.i just wanted to get this out easiest as possible and thought to make it .jpg only because i didnt know.Oh, i use paint shop pro 9 ,i know alot use gimp i tried that and felt like i had to learn a new program.Ten years ago i learned cheat engine which is similar to art money in finding memory addreses,which i found to be time consuming and frustrating.I used it to find memory addresses in old games to find cheats such as unlimited ammo and well anything with numbers after you learn it its kinda easy but things such as healthbars became a whole new ballgame.Again I say im only doing this because noone else is.Please check out my habaki sprites and let me know if i should finish it or star over because i could do the same with senzo.I found i have the same emulation problem like everyone else but i will stay determined to finish this no matter what.Some of the sprites with Habaki need to finsh im also working on thundra as we speak.I need to Know if Habaki`s sprites are good enough or should i try with Senzo or maybe i`ll do senzo anyway.Iam focused now more on Pakawa and chagi.Pakawa i had an idea with him since he`s an Indian i thought it`d be cool if i put night wolf and t.hawk eithr in the background or as a special or fatality.I guess first someone has to be the first to make a kasumi ninja char.One of the reasons im doing this is because it`s difficult which makes a challenge for me.Oh,and this is just the begining,This is just two weeks of toying around with mugen.:) Habaki sprites are just missing elbow and and low kick i think should i start over or what or is this good enough? and i also ripped the sounds......Habaki sprites are ripped and cut seems like making a sprite sheet at this point is just more time i`d rather spend that time ripping another chars sprites.

You'll fix chuchoryu ? Sounds like a plan. How about you code him from scratch instead ?

Sorry,about the links i  started an account with 4shared i hope this works, anymore they make it tough to  share files these days,Habaki sprites are almost done although the orange made it difficult oh well it`s the first anywhere let me know what you think and if it`s not good enough then i`ll rip senzo i guess it does`nt matter which ninja i rip since there different colors.

i did. erm, sorta. let's not count that though

checking these when i get home. one thing i always remembered about kasumi ninja was that it seemed there was like, what, 20 sound files total? i'm probably overshooting it a bit cuz damn. i think gyaku's second form, angus and pakawa were the only ones that had any character-specific sort of sound effects

oh yeah and in terms of ultra vortek: i'd love some rips of that. that game was cool as hell, especially the stages that screamed h.r. giger
